Bench yourself. Steve Smith said it about himself, but it's really about you. Say, "I'm not an asset to this team anymore." Take that to heart, old dog. You were decent and at times, a good QB, however time has not been so gracious to you as the likes of Kurt Warner or Jeff Garcia. In conclusion, your time is up. Thank you.

Sincerely,

The "what have you done for me lately" fans who once adored you, and now turn their back on you.

Even the Lone Ranger had to put down Silver eventually. As for the "what have you done for me lately" fans, show me and NFL team that doesn't have those type of fans. Look at the Patriots, that organiztion has a knack for making personnel changes at just the right time. Their roster from year to year changes more than just about any team, yet they are still able to win games. Yeah they have a guy named Brady that wins alot of those games, but sooner or later you have to evaluate talent on your team and adjust your roster accordingly. You have to plan for the future at some point, take Washington and Clinton Portis for example. Just one of many players that could have been moved while he still had market value, now they are stuck with an aged, over-worked RB and no way to get anything for him. Just like Fox has done with Jake, love him or hate him, he's not gonna be around forever, im all for winning now, it just seems Fox is content with what he has now instead of planning ahead.

Dear Hep:

With all due respect, go screw yourself. You guys just dont get it. It is what it is and the other guys get paid to play and the problem is that we havent solved the problem and that is a big problem.

At the end of the season it will all work out. I will be the leagues defensive mvp.

Write back when you understand.

JD

I think you're awesome. I love watching you play and the passion you show on the field. Thank you for everything you've done for this team. The time you have spent as our QB you have made us a relevant team. Your passion and grit has fueled us for many seasons. I'm sad that TJ surgery has effected your career. Even though you are down I will not count you out. You made from the scrubs of the NFL to a starting QB in the NFL that made several playoff appearances and lead the inspiring come back season of 04. So hopefully you can get back in the lineup and play like you once did.

Dear Jake,

Please stick out for all 16 games this year. You are on pace to throw 36 interceptions. You are going to have to step it up if you want to break George Blanda's 1962 record of 42 interceptions. I have no doubt that you can easily break Vinny Testeverde's 1988 record of 35. Geaux Jake!

Dear PantherPosters here,

Get some class.

Blame the people who put Jake in a place to fail.

Not the guy trying to do his best.

Fox is the one to blame.

Kurb

IMO, i dont think fox has a choice or say so in who starts. im sure its richardson and hurney making that call.

although i must say i wish fox would get fired ASAP.

Dear Jake, Ur a class act but its all about what have you done for me lately,,,which is nothing. you enjoyed early success and set the bar high for our expectations. I know you dont like what is happening but being a man is doing things you dont want to do..you havent been the same for a few years now....I think the mind is good but the body wont respond to your commands...thanks for the memories. Maybe you can hang around and lead a winning drive ala Earl Moral sometime..

    • Overall, fine.  Wish we landed a guy to pair with Lloyd but I presume this means they're giving Trevin one final year to put it together (72nd overall 2 years back).  Flashed potential year 1, had a dud last year.   R1: Freeling LT - Great value and a need; landed our new long term LT that could end up starting off the bat.  Icky had a terrible injury and is not playing in his contract year.  Walker is what he is on a 1-year rental, who even knows how he fits. You get premier OTs early if you can find em' and he has what you want.  I thought he could have gone as high as 6/CLE pre-draft, so am a big fan of the selection.  Looking at this class, he's one of the guys at the top that is like "okay that's the LT".  Others have this right/left or G/T type discussion about them.  Freeling is an LT.   R2: Hunter NT - We didn't really have anyone replacing A'Shawn's snaps in our rotation.  Wharton & Brown aren't 3 downers so adding Hunter to the mix fills a big void. I dug deep into S and LB this draft so was a bit to zeroed in - In recognize the value and impact add in the trenches. R3: Brazzell WR - Intriguing.  Given our history, I don't really want to place any expectations here, but a different style weapon for Bryce. I pretty much expect a WR drafted yearly with this regime. Other notables.. Hecht C - These are the type of rounds where starting centers have been found.  We got a starter for this year, but Hecht seems pretty capable and I like it for a long term find.  SOLID AF.  Wheatley S - A pretty well regarded safety prospect.  And we see it every year (like this one) safeties get hyped, people think they may go sooner than expected, and the league reminds them how it rolls.  Plenty of nice safeties have been found in the 4th-6th in recent years.  Big fan of Wheatley. Can't say I know enough about Lee or the others.
    • I'm excited. I love situations like this when you could potentially find a diamond in the rough on the cheap. And you know guys like this are gonna put in the work and desire way more than others to be great.
