So it comes down to this...

a great run by the jerks, but they may have peaked too early. Aho hasn't scored a goal since march 9th and the team looks tired as they run into playoff teams in the final weeks of the season. I have to admit that I didn't even watch the first half of the season, it seemed to be another lackluster team and it wasn't until the january run that I jumped on the band wagon. But I'm in now and not just for this season, RBA has brought this young team into contention and it's been a fantastic ride that will continue for more then this season.

SO here we are...the Jackets have Bruins, Islanders and Sens and the Habs a tough finish with Lightening, Caps and Leafs-Canes have Leafs, Devils and Flyers. I think we have the tie breaker with the Habs.

How does this end?

The Canes are going to win out...

We have a hot rookie in Svech, Aho is due for a couple of goals and at some point Mrazek magic will happen with his 100th win. We have scored on some PP goals recently and I just have to believe Rod is going to will this team to finish strong. It's possible the Jackets win 2 of 3 but the Habs are doubtful to win more than 1. I think that gives us the WC2 with a possible WC1 if take care of business...

I think CBJ are going to cruise to at least 98 points (2-0-1), maybe 99. Montreal is in most danger to miss, I don't see them doing any better than 97 points, but 96 points (2-0-1 or 1-2-0) seems most likely. If we get any points tonight we should be set... Assuming we beat the Devils at home and maybe drop the game in Philly in OT or something dumb, even a point in Toronto would get us to 97, and I think we have the tiebreaker on them. Lose outright tonight and we're going to have to win the next two for sure. Lose in Philly and we're gambling on Montreal to lose a huge game.

Impressive win, PP is still working and Mrazek gets his 100 th win. This is the type of game we needed to gain confidence in the playoffs. It looks to me like Mrazek's aggressive play jacks up the defense and he deserves to start and stay in goal during the playoffs.

I just don't see a let down, the senior guys know it's time to play fast and fight for every loose puck. This is just what this franchise needed, a win on the road against a hot Leafs team.
