Will Witherspoon...Nice call Panthers!!!

Carolina

Anybody else watching the Redskins/Eagles game? Will Witherspoon, INT for touchdown, forced fumble. Once again, the Panthers are a bunch of freakin' idiots!!!! You think Dan Morgan's watching........:willy_nilly:

We offered them the same exact deal at the same time and Morgan signed it first. They were split on who to sign cause they both were *** for tat at that point.

Yeah, I'm sure you felt that way when the Panthers kept Morgan and let Witherspoon walk. Easy to say now. Yeah, I'd rather have Beason but the Witherspoon was a more productive LB that Morgan. Hell, just being on the field made him more productive than Morgan. Yeah, Morgan had some very good games......when he played. Another brilliant personnel move by the Panthers.

Your whining was relevant back when Colbert and Carter were on the roster. Say what you will about Morgan, but when he was on the field he was one of the best players this team has ever had. In the end, letting Witherspoon benefited the team.

I realize you are probably a little butt hurt over Delhomme's INT's, but really, this. You could go after the team for no first rounder next year, extending Jake's contract, Jarret not developing, no decent third receiver, shoddy play calling, no logo on the 50 yard line, no beer sales in the upper-deck, not shoring up the defensive line, or hell even keeping Fox. But you went after a very irrelevant problem.

    • There is a Grand Canyon-sized chasm between your opinion and the opinions of most former player hockey guys who do this for a living.
    • I can only imagine the **** eating grins on the committee right now. "Oh, Bama didn't deserve it? Oh, Miami didn't deserve it? Suck it, haters!" lol
    • To say that, is gaslighting, because it isn’t true. I mean, maybe one or two people do that but it isn’t the predominant behavior. Even Frank has given him credit. I think particularly the Rams game. A couple of glowing posts.   I know I have. Gotta be honest about it because if you aren’t it undermines what else you say.  But the degree of how far I go with credit, in terms of it being a projection of future performance? Not very far. Acknowledge it, but require more of it. There is a lot of bad play to offset.    I tried to remain passive while the last 9 games (post ankle injury) played out. It is just really hard when the lows won’t go away. I failed. As high as a couple of those highs were, there isn’t enough.    I know it is premature to just say I want to move on, made my decision after 6 of those games ended up pretty much really good or not good enough, but I have had enough of being patient and letting him show the reality either way.  So in my view, he Could still validate himself to a decent degree if he smokes the last three starts. But also in my view I don’t expect to see it. Maybe one more high quality start, would be my expectation. So yes he could still somehow justify having the job next year. If that happened I still wouldn’t have much faith given the last three years and all that has transpired. Again, there is a lot of bad play to offset.
