Where are the Kobe huggers? There's some Kobe fans on this board who always say he's better than Bron. Where are you guys? Tell us how "the closest thing to Jordan" allows another player to come on his homecourt and drop a triple double in a 20 point blowout? This is why people are annoyed by Kobe fans because only fall back on "rings" but when its crunch time, dude dont step up against the best.

they hate me 45, you named several great hall of famers.

Did anyone of them dub themselves as "THE CHOSEN ONE"???????

Tell me, what in the hell is that supposed to mean, that tattoo on his back.

Also, it will be the same sob story come playoff time. "Awww the Heat got to get a big man, no big man is helping out Lebron, that was their downfall".

I'm not sure what your point is... My message was in response to you saying wade rode coat tails, LBJ couldn;t do it (Alone) in Cleveland. My point was neither could Kobe or any other superstar. I wasn;t talking about tattoos or confidence.

Just to answer your question.... I personally don't care about a superstars confidence and cockiness. They all fell like they are the best, no one can guard them ect. Have you listened to Kobe and MJ talk... They are just as cocky, confidence whatever. Some hate it, I don't care. I think you have to have that mindset to believe you can dominate anyone if you are a superstar.... There are very few humble superstars in the history of the NBA.

Also most NBA players have all kind of stuff tatted on them... I really don't care or analyze them like that.... Thug life or whatever they have tatted.

Kobe & LBJ are both great students of the game... that's why they know they need other talent on their team to win. You can;t win 4 best of 7 series vs the best of the Nba alone.... Just look at last year.

Boston had countless people step up to put them in position to win... Stars and non stars. Kobe has had Fisher step up with clutch shot after clutch shot... Paul G... step up a dominate a game... and when Kobe stunk it up in game 7 it was Ron artest who cam thru in the clutch for them. That's not a knock on Kobe... more of a praise to his understanding of the game and knowing you need good teammates to help you accomplish your goals of winning titles.

So way the hate on LBJ for understanding and doing the exact same thing?

If the heat lose this year, they will just lose to a better team. I'm excited this year for the playoffs because there are some good "Teams" out there. But no.... there is no excuses for LBJ this year.... Him wade, bosh, Z, is more than enough if they do what they have to do.

I could care less that you think Jordan or Bron is better than Kobe (Cool they're the greatest ever, yippey!).

What matters is Los Angeles Laker NBA Championships.

And that doesn't happen during the regular season.

And they don't happen when Kobe is the only all-star on the team either.

It takes a great franchise like the Lakers or Celtics to consistantly win titles. And quality GMs and HCs like LA and Boston have besides talent on the roster.

Obviously one Superstar will never change that.

And what Lebron does during the regular season won't either.

was fine with Lebron until The Decision fiasco. kinda revealed what he is. not a big deal, he's still a great player, but I don't follow him anymore. He gave me some amazing basketball memories though, was fun to watch.

The NBA kinda lost a little of it's mystique for me this offseason... Not trying to explain it, but yeah. Just isn't the same for me. Call me butthurt if you want, but I had a rather naive image of him that was so far off the mark it kinda made me take a step back and realize how right people were about the NBA.

Did MJ run off when he didnt win a championship in his first 7 years at Chicago?

If you're going to call yourself "the chosen one" then you better damn well be able to carry a team to a championship.

Like MJ said, he was out trying to beat the best, not join them so they could win easy championships. You're pretty naive if you think theres no difference between winning one when "your the man" and having 2 other GREAT players.

really, fine young male?

LOL. Dudes feelings is hurt cuz Kobe cant beat LeBron after all the trash they talked about him. Kobe is a pussy, switch outcomes of the game, I'm almost certain thats what you'd say about Bron. All summer long Laker fans had this game marked on their calender, and told us how King Kobe was gonna outplay Wade and his sidekick LeBron. Now the regular season dont mean nothing. The same Kobe fans used to use Kobe's regular season 81 point performance to big him up or one of his many regular season game winners.   Fact is, Kobe is too old to hang with the LeBrons, the Durants, etc. Its not that he doesnt want to play at a high level during the regular season, its that he cant. He has to conserve his energy for down the stretch.

Kobe (as well as the rest of the team) didnt even show up Saturday. Its like you dudes still think he's 17 out there like its still 1996. Dude is 32 YEARS OLD!!!! He's been in the league since Dru Hill came out with "Tell Me" and Sisqo had platinum blonde hair. He can not hang with LeBron. Those Kobe "above the rim" days are OVER dudes. Give it up. Dude is basically a jump shooter who specializes in making bad low percentage shots. He's not the walking triple double that LeBron is, and he obviously isnt the draw either. Heat have sold out all their games thus far this season, home and away.

I know this is off topic but I cant imagine living my life consumed with racism like you do. If you really think that Newton is a better QB than Luck and that the Panthers simply wont take him because he is black, you not only know little about football but you know little about life in general.

Luck is the best QB prospect to come out in ages, every expert agrees that he is the sure fire 1st pick if he comes out yet you and your ilk try to find some way to claim racism.

Its a very, very sad way to live and very telling about the way you live your life, consumed with race.

    • I gave you a full breakdown and examples from last year as to why I think it's unfair to expect 1k from T-Mac this year if everyone stays healthy. But the TLDR version is we will have 4 legitimately good WRs next year, most rookies who get to 1,000 yards don't have any others on the team with them let alone 3 others, it will be hard for him to put up 1k with out the others being injured or falling short of expectations themselves, but in 2026 without Thielen it's different.
    • Ulcerative Colitis is not CTE.
    • Last year Thielen had 615 yards in 10 games (had more ypg than his 1k season in 23).  XL had 497 in 16 games with tons of drops and Coker had 478 in 11. They also only had only 192 of our 518 targets to get those numbers. So if Thielen has 1,000 yards again, XL and Coker each improve to say 600 yards each, and T-Mac comes in at 800 yards, you're going to say that's not good enough?  Especially if he ends up with close to, if not getting to, double digit TD's like I think he will, as he's going to be a red zone monster for Bryce? Because if that's the breakdown of just the Top 4 and Bryce plays all 17 games, he's going to be pushing a 4,000 yard season as the TEs, RBs, and other WRs will probably add up to 750-1k yards as well, and I think that would be far more than anyone here could be expecting of him this season. Last year the Giants only had 2 players with more than 331 yards besides Nabers and they were 699 and 573 while Nabers "only" had 1,200 yards (granted in 15 games).  While the Jags second leading receiving was a TE with 411 yards and BTJ also "only" had 1,282 but in all 17 games. Odunze couldn't get there (734 in 17 games) with Moore and Allen there, just as McConkey was able to get there because his competition for targets was Quentin Johnson (711 yards), Josh Palmer (584), and Will Dissly (481) who I think Thielen, XL, and Coker are all better than any of them. If everyone stays healthy and XL/Coker have improved, I think Bryce is going to spread the ball around rather than focus on T-Mac in a way that most of the 1k rookies have been able to get. Again I point to MHJ and the Cardinals last year. They had 3,859 yards receiving.   McBride had 1,146, MHJ had 885, then their 3rd and 4th in rec yards were 548 and 414. Take the 146 and 85 that McBride/MHJ had over my example for our guys and give them to the other two and they get to 7 yards shy of the 600 I'm using for XL/Coker, while the rest of the team added up to 866 yards. So, if you expect T-Mac to get to 1k, where are you taking those yards from? if anything, XL and Coker each getting 600 yards seems like a low projection, so they wouldn't come from there. Maybe they come from Thielen now that we have T-Mac as the true #1.  But I think if anything, having T-Mac draw attention will just make it easier for Thielen to get open and him and Bryce have great chemistry already, he's not going to stop throwing his way if he can pick up easy chunks of yards there. So maybe they come from the RBs, TEs, other WRs, but it's I think a very fair example to show why expecting 1,000 yards if everyone stays healthy isn't necessarily fair to him. It's also why I said I'd then expect at least 1,200 yards in 2026, as once Thielen leave and all 3 of T-Mac/XL/Coker get better, they absorb that 1,000 yards Thielen leaves behind with T-Mac probably taking close to half of it and the other two splitting up the other half.
