Alright. How in the fug Do We Fix this Horrible Run Defense?

When I watched the all 22 it looks like the chunk run plays were primarily due to guys free lancing and having poor gap discipline. The concern is that after the Pittsburgh game last year, Ron said "Guys are trying to do things that we're not asking them to do". That exact same thing happened vs. the 49ers. Why are the same problems lingering for almost a year now?

Star & KK together were like Bonnie & Clyde. Best DT dynamic duo around. When you look at stats, you'll see we had top 10 run D '12 - '17.

After we released him, our defense went WAY down. Poe is not as good as Star. '18's 4-3 sucked so much Ron had to start calling plays. Switching to Ron's mixture of 3-4 & 4-3 has improved our passing D big time & brought sacks back up, but Ron's scheme won't work unless we have a true anchor like Star. Poe is slow, McCoy is getting double teamed on, & Butler is a bust at run D.

Eric Washington should not be allowed in the stadium anymore, that would help our defense.

Also, I think that Rivera will be gone next year with us picking up Tomlin and having a great defense again.

lol tepper is not gonna hire tomlin..

Yeah he will Tepper is Pittsburg you fuqqing retart

Tepper is generally believed to be one of the minority owners that was trying to get Tomlin fired.

Besides, even if this season goes in the tank, Mike Tomlin is still under contract. GM Kevin Colbert, who it's been speculated is losing a power struggle with Tomlin, is not.

For that matter, if you want to point out that Tepper is doing things the Steeler way, you might want to remember that one of the tenets of that philosophy is that they don't hire retread head coaches.

How about one power edge and one speed edge combine?

Power side:Obada Cox Mario

Speed side:Burns Miller Haynes Irvin

But but but I read here just last week that “we were good” at DE, overflowing with all around All Pro’s.
