Bottom line, the way this has been handled is completely abnormal and I think 'Boat is acting as a human-meat-shield (Kyle Bailey's descriptor) for the organization b/c there are other factors (not foot, not shoulder) in play which are keeping Cam off of the field.

Only time will tell...

Newton didn't even practice yesterday.

The report was wrong.

And when it comes to reporting, yes I will trust local sources before I trust national ones. National sources report on 32 teams. Local guys, only one.

Pretty sure that's correct.

Side Note: He gets a lot of sh-t here, but Joe Person was the first one to report that this was a lisfranc injury.

I'm not much on Person, though he definitely improved after going to the athletic, but I trust local guys lots more than mass media hacks like schefter.

Thats why sometimes reporters and analysts seem clueless about some teams because it's impossible to keep up with every team. Im a panthers junkie and may know a little more then i need to but i dont know but the bare minimim for other teams unless we are facing them. Even then i still get suprised sometimes like the Zysteria?? kid when he cought that pass. I was like who the heck is this??

If I want to know something about another team, I look for information from their best beat writer.

National guys are great for breaking news, but if you want in depth analysis you need to go to a specialist, not a general practitioner.

Being ready to practice....and being allowed to practice....are 2 distinctly different things.

We don't know who the source was in either case so no determination can be made on whether or not they are local.
