Have the Panthers redeemed themsleves?

No. There are still two major liabilities that didn't change in this game, Delhomme and Davidson. I'm more convinced Delhomme can bounce back but at this point in time I still see no reason to stick with him...

Davidson on the other hand completely shut down our own offense in the second half and if it wasn't for some great plays on defense we would have lost the game after a 21 point lead. That is inexcusable. Not only that but our selection of pass plays were awful in the second half, we didn't do anything to force them away from 8-9 in the box.

I'll say "no" because I dont think that game was the monkey. I think the monkey was starting 0-3 and going into this game 2-4.

It was a nice win and I'll hold on to it for a week. I think the problems wont change until Fox is gone. Example: We had the ball with nearly a minute and a half left, had our timeouts and the ball at midfield and Fox wouldnt even try to get 20 yards to FG range. He's far too passive with a win and you cant win big games like that in the long run.

I also think Delhomme has trouble reading defenses. When pressured he's a totally different QB than when he has time. Not even remotely similar. I noticed today he totally dismisses backside receivers when he's pressured. He had some wide open dump passes on the back side tonight and didnt see them.

I love Delhomme personally. I really feel bad for him. I think there are multiple problems but I think one is coaching. I think they HAVE to change at HC and OC. Just my take.

So what's the option with Delhomme? Moore? Moore has shown nothing. Also, Delhomme has a 42.5 million dollar contract. If they get rid of him, someone's gotta lose their job for that one.

as much as i loved that win....it isn't over. t could be that they have turned the corner but they have a long ways to go before they can show they have.

remember, the raiders beat the eagles. it's just one game.

there are still issues with the QB and playcalling but the defense looked incredible. martin at FS was great. peppers keeps improving.

i have more faith now but there are still some huge games head.

if they can somehow beat the saints next week i might start drinking the koolaid again.

Moore has shown nothing. I goes the 2 wins and 1 loss in his rookie year ain't good enough for some people this board. And people all of a sudden started talking bad about Moore today after he throw a floater out to the sidelines to a TE that was slightly overthrown. What do people expect out of Moore when coaches don't give him a chance to prove crap. aleast that pass he throw on 3and 2nd wasn't no where near been int like most of Jakes has been all year. Plus what do you expect when Moore is suddenly throwed into the game and only has one pass the whole game. People are quick to judge moore who has yet really play this year. Only in a few snaps and most of them was handoffs to the RBs. So leave Moore alone.

In many ways you are absolutely right. I cant dispute it. I dont blame anything on Moore today. Im just saying that he didnt impress me at all when Delhomme went down a couple years ago. sure he was young and he hasnt had many chances to come in but, I assume the coaches see him everyday in practice and he's done nothing to take the starting job from Jake. I'm not against Moore as a 2nd string QB. I simply want a good starting QB. I can assume since Moore has fulfilled his full contract after this season and has done nothing in practice to take over the job, he's not going to be a stud starting QB.

That's all I'm saying. Not knocking him. I just dont think he's a long term solution, and if he's not, then you definately play the 42 million dollar man.

    • When we have everyone playing like they should, we can win the Cup. That has been the biggest problem when we get to the playoffs, but this year seems to be fixed mostly. We could have had multiple if we had done this in the past.
    • Here we go Bryce Stan’s you should love this. Hell it may be one of you.  It has every cliche excuse and then some.  Unintentionally hilarious my limit was reached when he said Bryce had it hard because four play callers.
    • Luke goes in to the specifics of what he looked to accomplish in joint practices.  Basically they may work with someone on the opposing team to stress something they feel is a weakness in their own game in a different way that can be done with someone they are familiar with. That they can have predetermined stresses but since neither wants to get injured and it has absolutely no bearing on anything there is not the level of concern that would be in a preseason game.  He would also even chat with opposing OC.   It seems like an interesting nuance among the vets and savy pros.
