(By David Scott, [email protected]) GLENDALE, Ariz. The Carolina Panthers came out of Sunday’s 34-21 victory against the Arizona Cardinals at University of Phoenix Stadium bruised. In addition to the chest injury suffered by quarterback Jake Delhomme, fullbacks Brad Hoover (ankle) and Tony Fiammetta (head) left the game in the second half. p/Hoover was on crutches in the locker room after the game. He said an X-ray of his right ankle revealed no broken bones. Hoover had missed two of the Panthers’ three previous games with back spasms.

"fullbacks Brad Hoover (ankle) and Tony Fiammetta (head) left the game in the second half"

This is a major problem. Hoover has a lingering back injury, and now he may be out for 2-3 weeks with a high ankle sprain. I'm hoping Fiammetta didn't have a concussion, that's bad news for a FB, the battering ram of an offense. Who is our 3rd FB?

Brannan Southerland is still available I actually liked him out of the draft better then Tony (and he went UDFA). But I agree in our O losing Brad Hoover is huge and losing our #2 to injury is monumental. Lets hope both will be ready come sunday but something tells me Hov has just about had it hes falling apart.

    • The last thing I will say, because I'm not going down this Bryce Young rabbit hole again, especially with said poster: You guys aren't the only people who see what you see.  Stop focusing on small minority of fans and voices.  The media has accepted Bryce Young isn't anything more than a game-manager at best.  You can literally look up "Bryce Young Franchise QB" and the only thing that pops up is that the Panthers MAY be viewing him as one, but no media outlet supports it.  The vast majority of fans accept he won't ever be the guy. It is such a stupid conversation for this reason.  You guys get so tripped up over such a small minority.  Bryce Young SUCKS.  We get it.   And feel free to continue to converse about it.  It is a discussion forum.  Have at it.  But can we just stop using words like "retard" to describe people who might not want to go as far as you all do?  Or acting like you have some unique ability to see things in the game that others can't?  There is no "mythos" around Bryce Young except in your head.
    • Only thing I’ve seen that says it on is TWSN sports which is notorious for clickbait titles and in the articles it usually says something like this is a prediction not a report even though the title of the article sounds definitive.
    • Sorry, someone probably said this, but I'm not going back over 9 pages 😃 QBs get an outsized amount of credit for wins and losses.  Bryce is the same way.   He was far from good except for a handful of plays.  That's not a recipe for success long term.  On the flip side, with the running game and defense playing so well, he's not being asked to do too much.  He doesn't look like "the guy."  I'm all for bringing in real competition with Bryce this year.
