Why do people have this weird notion it takes 5+ years to rebuild?

IMO, the easiest way to start winning in this league is to shore up the offensive and defensive lines.  The issue, is the entire NFL is having an offensive line problem.  There simply aren't enough good linemen coming out of college, paired with less practice time, and defensive players being absolute freaks, so getting our O Line right is going to be a problem.

Defensive line is a little easier, but we have no idea what scheme we are running moving forward, so that's an issue.

So, I'm in the camp of addressing O Line first and foremost, then working on the QB of the future, and the defensive line at the same time.

I fully expect this to be at least 2, of not 3 offseasons to work itself out.  If done correctly though, maybe we can sustain success like the Hawks and Steelers.
