Chiefs Claim Terrell Suggs

The Ravens didn’t submit a claim? He’s blowing kisses and they ignore a former star for them?

he should play for the Chiefs and make them pay.

it would be justice if he kept them out of the Super Bowl and got the game winning fumble turnover on Lamar.

Had the Ravens put in a claim and the Chiefs essentially blocked them from getting him, I'd say there would be at least a decent chance he would've been pissed off enough to not report. But with the Ravens not even bothering, I'd say there's a pretty decent chance he'll go ahead and report and suit up, because fug them for not even bothering to put in a claim when he made it known to the entire world that he wanted to go back to B-more and try to help them win this SB.

I don't buy that the Ravens not going through the formality of submitting a claim is pissing Suggs off .. they were #32 in the order .. if everybody passed on him they wouldn't have needed to submit a claim anyway .. I'm sure the Ravens would be happy to have Suggs if declined to report to KC .. I don't think Suggs looks at it like .. they were #32 in waiver order and didn't put in a claim, I guess they don't want me .. no.

It sure would be poetic justice. I mean, I'm pretty sure the Cardinals only released him because they're out of the picture, Suggs is probably retiring at the end of the season and so he asked them to do him a solid by releasing him so that he could go back to Baltimore and finish his career where it all started... and then the Ravens don't even bother to submit a claim. Wow

I think you're heavily underestimating the pride and ego of an elite professional athlete.

Yeh that’s the ultimate dickmove.

people say what they want to about the hoodie but how many former greats got Superbowls like Flutie because he signed people at the last minute to do that?

i do get that if your team is rocking, you don’t shake the chemistry but it also speaks to the lack of confidence and narcissism that someone would be scared of signing a former great that helped make  their team relevant.

No it's that this is the NFL not the NBA and a player isn't going to say I will play here, but not there, when the Chiefs have fair access to sign him. Suggs going to Baltimore would definitely require Suggs to not report to a claiming team .. which .. is that even legal?
