Possibly. His tackling concerns me at nickel though. I just think we need to be smarter about our matchups on the outside. Allow Jackson to travel with the speedier receiver and allow Bradberry to travel with the more physical receiver. We started doing that some last year. I think we need to make it a staple though.

I like that thinking.  Aside from Bradberry and Cockrell, are we going to pursue any other CBs on the roster (to the best of your knowledge)?  I was surprised that Elliot was not on the short list I read somewhere; I thought he was solid.

I always thought Rivera was BS for not letting his corner travel with their matchup.. I hope this changes under a new DC..

For LT I have to wait for the combine because I want one that can stop speed rushers so hes got to be really athletic. That is the reason I lean toward Brown at the moment because he is easier to judge by the eye. As far as WR I agree because after the 2nd round I like pure BPA because I want guys that are useful right away.

To be honest, if you are just rating Tackles, Wirfs and Willis are probably better than Thomas--they just played RT.  I think both could switch (remember Bama had the Lefty playing QB at the beginning of the year, so Willis was on that side.)

I would not be disappointed with either.  If I knew more about Little and liked what I hear, it would be Brown hands down----and if he is not there, I might consider Espenesa.  I think he is going to freak at the combine.

Yea Tbh we have to wait till the combine alot of guys might move up, I guess Brown to me is just the easiest pick to see but in reality who knows what the combine will show.

I don't think our secondary would be half bad if we could actually stop teams from running it down our throats.. We need to improve our front 7 and resign our secondary... but that's  just my opinion..

This has been my opinion all offseason. For the first how many weeks? We were number 2 in pass defense and then Poe got hurt after KK went down and all of a sudden our secondary sucked. It all had to do with not being able to stop the run it makes the secondaries job so much harder.

Brown is an awesome pick--he can play 5t, 3t, and Nose if needed.   He is a beast.  Being able to play in the 3-4, 4-3 and multiple positions at a high level--I think he can do it.  He could be the next great DT--Aaron Donaldish.

I  think  Jackson playing on the outside is out of position.. I think he is better in the slot.. I think the bigger physical WR give him a problem 1on 1 and he can handle things better in tighter confinement like the slot position  ..jmo

Imo hes fine outside if hes playing 100% because his vertical is out of this world. He might even add weight but his first season he was fine outside.

Dude that's how I feel....hea a no brainer. If hes there, he is absolutely a game changer.

Jackson is not a great tackler--he sorta flies at a thigh and guesses--but I think Linville's idea of having him shadow the fast WR and let Bberry go with the big WR is simplistic and logical.  We need a slot with the ability to contain and lay some lumber.  Action Jackson is not that player---I thought benching him was a bit rough--but having been on teams that go on losing streaks, the frustration is incredible and people start pointing fingers and calling folks out.  Jackson is a bit articulate, so I am guessing part of his problem was not based on performance.  At least I know the conditions were right for a hot-headed meltdown.

I have no idea. I'm sure the new staff is doing a ton of self scouting right now and we'll have some answers to those questions relatively soon.

I was surprised to see interest in re-signing Cockrell, tbh.  Unless that is the backup plan in the event Bradberry walks.
