That's not how it works. We still eat Turners bonus. The salaries look  close but in reality aren't even close.

That money is already paid.  We are going to account for it whether Turner is here or not, so that is exactly how it works.  You can accelerate it into this season by trading him or spread it out by keeping him but the fact is its already paid.

There are serious questions to be asked about where Greg Little is health-wise. And this leaves open the big question of what the team is doing in 2020. Okung having only one year left on his deal must have been appealing

Also now appears that the Panthers may have two new starting guards in 2020 with Greg Van Roten set to enter free agency in two weeks.

One fun reminder that just clicked looking over tonight's news: Won't be the first time Paradis and Okung will be on a line together. Both were on the 2016 Broncos.

Said this AM: possible that the Panthers never intended to go “full blown” rebuild in 2020. Had they received a decent draft pick for Turner, that would be an indicator of an immediate demolition. This transaction keep the door open for a non-tank 2020, IMO.

Everyone is assuming they could have got a decent draft pick for him.  I'm not sure his recent play would have really had teams lining up to not give up a decent draft pick but to also pay him around $10m a year.

Take the draft pick out of the question.  How many teams would want to pay turner $10m a year?  How many teams want to give up draft picks to do that.

In other news, it's barely into March and this roster is nowhere near set.

Don't worry though... I've been assured by the best of experts around here that Hurney is having nothing to do with drafting or roster building.

So we good.
