Panthers showing interest in a QB

This "take a quarterback" to say we did approach got us Will Grier. And I have to be brutally honest, I still haven't forgiven a number of huddlers for pushing for that guy so badly. They act like they never did too. So many hazy memories about that now. If we need another QB we can take one in 2021. Don't just throwaway another pick in a half ass attempt this year.

Yes!!!!  I have been hyping this guy fro a while as a day 3 prospect.  Under-the-radar candidate because he went to two bad football programs Bowling Green and FIU.  He has a gunslinger swagger about him, but wasn't able hone the nuances of the position in those surroundings.  A perfect candidate for Joe Brady to work with.  Now, he would be a project and sit a year or two while he tightens up his acumen, but the tools are there...all he needs is teaching.

I originally was mocking him in the 6th/7th rounds, but if he's gaining some steam, he may go as high as the 5th now.

As to the actual topic, I've heard people talk about the kid but I won't claim to know a whole lot about him (outside of highlight reels, which don't really tell you much).

It does bring up kind of an interesting question though: Would you rather take a look at a potential quarterback this year or wait until next year when the prospects are expected to be better?

First play- Sideline throw 40 yards

0:45- 50 yard strike

1:25- 45 yard sideline pass

2:00- 45 yard corner route at the back pylon

2:30- 30 yard TD fade

3:00- Arm strength- ball is a blur, jumps out of his hand

4:00- Scramble drill, keeps eyes down field

5:50- 45 yard strike, off back foot, with rusher bearing down

7:00- Another near 50 yard bomb to WR in stride, shows can climb the pocket

It sounds like you've seen more of the kid than I have. I wasn't clear on one thing though. How soon would you expect him to be ready to start?
