Is it OK if I root for the Cowboys this week?

They are my most hated team outside of the Falcons, but I'm thinking about rooting for them this week. I think they have a much better chace at beating the Giants in the playoffs than the Buccs do. Not only that, but I would love us to have home field adantage throughout the postseason.

It is never acceptable to root FOR the cowboys. However, it is acceptable to root AGAINST their opponent.

I don't root for another team unless I hate their opponent, or more importantly, their victory helps the Panthers in some way.

In this case, I don't care, and I hope that whoever it is gets beat by the Giants. I want the Panthers to take care of their business and meet them again in the NFCCG.

In a perfect world, we beat the Saints and lock up 2nd seed. Then Arizona knocks off the Falcons and Minnesota beats Dallas/Tampa on wildcard weekend. Naturally the Giants would beat Arizona (since they suck on the east coast... and would be in last place in the NFC East or South) And we get to pound the Vikings to redeem our week 3 loss. Then we return to the Meadowlands and put on a clinic, a la 2005.

Super Bowl win over the "vaunted" Tennesee Titans and the whole "Smash and Dash" issue is decided once and for all.
