Giants Can't Feel Too Good

They outgained the Panthers 459-343, had 301 rushing yards, won time of possession 39:07-25:56, then had to count on a swirling wind to knock a game winning field goal off line and force OT.

They played lights out on their field and still had to squeak it out in OT. Simply put, the Giants don't want a rematch.

for some reason i keep getting drawn back to this site, some type of magnetic force brings me here.

yes, your stats are correct, the stats show that the giants outplayed the panthers. i dont understand why you still have to bash them? im not being a troll, but im just saying, the facts are facts....we outplayed you guys. its kinda an insult when you say the we "squeaked" by that game, because we didnt. it was a hard fought game on both teams behalf.

yes, you guys made mistakes, and so DID WE. what makes you so confident that in a rematch, the panthers would be 100% guranteed to win? the giants have just as good as chance, if not better, because we are 1 up on you?....

A wind gust did not carry you into overtime? I would call that squeaking bye.

Also, regarding being one up, go back and look at 2003. We lost to philly in regular season, beat them in Philly in the playoffs.

Its very hard to beat a team twice in one season in this league.

if you wanna start blaming your losses on mother nature, then i suggest you start watching billiards, or table tennis, where the weather doesnt effect your teams performance lol

hmmm....let me remind you that the giants were on the same field, with the same weather....

one more thing, i watched your kicker, kasay or something, NAIL a 55 yarder before the game. so if you wanna get technical, we can call it choking, not weather related.

sorry Zod, if you wanna look at the score, sure, i guess. but if you guys woulda won, be honest, would you really admit that the panthers "squeaked" by with a win? given the same stats? i dont understand why you cant admit the panthers were outplayed, i forget the thread name, but even your fellow panther fan put the stats up and showed that the giants had the ball longer, and had more overall yards. i would admit it if i were you. and ill leave it at that according to the score, yes, we "squeaked" by. but performance, i dont think so.

    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
    • Ok LT and Petersen are a cut above everyone else to me cmc and Faulk are interchangeable on this list.  though Faulk was better career wise
