giddyup...

Saints receiver Lance Moore and defensive tackles Sedrick Ellis and Kendrick Clancy were officially ruled out of Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers. Linebacker Scott Fujita is listed as questionable with a calf strain, though his return seems unlikely this week since he still has not practiced. And kicker Garrett Hartley is listed as doubtful after tweaking his ankle during Friday's practice.

Three other Saints are listed as probable after practicing fully on Friday -- center Jonathan Goodwin (knee), cornerback Malcom Jenkins (ankle) and linebacker Marvin Mitchell (foot).

In the saints defense, Moore hasnt done much this year.

well it's obvious you haven't been watching...he's been a clutch possession receiver.

yep, and it's taking away one of brees' key targets. our DBs are going to have a bit of an easier time with him off the field. the article said they might be moving courtney roby up but he's about as dangerous as keary colbert.

i dunno, keary colbert had a pretty good SAI average, that can be dangerous

(smiles after incompletion)

Its no big deal, we have been with out Ellis for weeks. Carney has been kicking for us since Hartley's week one suspension. Lance has been injured on and off for most of the season and Drew still finds 5-6 other receivers in the game. We will be ok, no worries.

    • The Vikings beat the Lions with three (3) net passing yards. Max Brosmer completed 9/16 attempts for 51 yards but got sacked 7 times for 48 yards in the process. They rushed for 158 yards and their D forced 6 turnovers.
    • You are dictating a ‘settle’. Like you can only have one, you can’t have both. Fine if you  can only have one, it isn’t the worst choice. But it is settling by nature because there are people with both.  It is simple, we have limited ourselves by choosing a player who has narrower margins for error than guys with the traditional QB physical attributes that people came to so highly value. And some people are happy about that.  Truth has always been that we made it harder on ourselves than it had to be. As Parcels said, he needs to walk on water. That is expecting a lot. And we now have to feed that beast..    there is a fundamental divide here that will never resolve. Even if he elevates his play.
