For once this was not Jakes fault. In the second QT he knew we needed to score and they would not let him throw the ball. They elected to get Dwill killed by running him into 6 LBers the rest of the game.

If the coaching staff feel Jake can't throw the ball anymore, and leave him in there anyway, it's all on them in my opinion. If they don't believe he can get it done, atleast TRY to see if someone else can. Matt Moore, Mccown, or whoever. If you think your QB is done, then there is no better time to try to find a replacement.

Its not like coaches 'dont know' what they have in moore. They strongly believe he sucks. Otherwise they would put him in. Theyve seen him in all the practises, preseaon games, training camp. Theres no resaon to believe Moore is better or even as good as Jake

But what happens if the backups are worse? Its not as if they never let him throw..They gave him some deep balls. But when your running the ball well and the game is close. What option do you have.

They know jake is average or below it and work around it. Playing moore they wouldve kept him on a even smaller leash.

It's sad when our coaches have to gameplan for jake not to lose the game for us,

limit him to 5 passes in the first half, and fox say's he gives us the best chance to win.

Dude you would believe anything those coaches tell wouldn't you. If they said Goodson was our best chances of winning instead of Dwill and stewart you would believe them wouldn't you. These coaches will say anything to the press just to had the fact that Jake can no longer play and Moore would be the better option at this point. But thing is panthers resigned Jake to 4 yr extension to make cap room because the Mister want play halfass for 1 million a game did not want to sign a long term deal. instead panthers had no choice but to resign jake to long contract to give us some cap to sign so FAs. Now Hurney and fox knows that and they don't want to make fools of themselves by taking Jake out of the game. Matt is 2-1 as starter. If Moore sucked he wouldn't have won 2 games for us in 2007. Fact is Fox is just afraid Moore might out play Jake and give carolina a better chance to win.

I agree. In fact Jake made a quite a few good throws in that game. It's not his fault that Fox wouldn't let him throw when it could have done some good or that his WR's are not helping him at all. Barnidge seems to be the only guy out there that can make a catch when the throw is not absolutely perfect.

I thought the playcalling was just fine today actually. I'd be running the ball even more on 3rd and long than they did because of how awful Jake is.
