The Teddy contract might have been the undoing of Hurney because it’s clear Teddy isn’t the guy and they gave it long enough to scout it out and see it. 

It's interesting to think about, but unlikely. If Rhule didn't want Teddy, he could've easily gone to Tepper and there's no way he'd side with Marty. Also, Marty drafted Cam, was the one who broke his contract extension and clearly loved the guy. I can't imagine it was his move to release Cam completely. I think that came more from Tepper or Rhule. Though none of us really have any clue.

One thing I notice in this clip...

Lots of stuff about personnel evaluation, but no mention of analytics or talk about being "data driven" (Tepper buzzwords)

You guys are taking about the salary cap like it’s your own money. Who cares what we paid Teddy this year? Who will care what we paid him after he gets cut? The money is back every year and we have whatever that salary cap is. The NFL isn’t real life. This team isn’t signing a roster of FAs anyway. We’re gonna have two drafts to build the base of this team then maybe pay some people to stay or come here. But until then who cares what we spend?
