NFC South Division Standings question.

So the Falcons and us will be either 3rd or 4th but I’m trying to figure out the tie breaker if we both finish 4-12 (which we both probably will)

All sites have us currently 4th but I’m trying to figure out why. We are both 1-1 head to head and would have the same record in division at 1-5. We look to finish in the nfc 3-9 while the Falcons would be 2-10 so would that put them at 4?

Just wondering because I was looking at the schedules next year because we play the 3rd/4th place team for the NFC West and North next year. I don’t remember sos ever being a factor for division standings.

Thanks just never remember strength of schedule beings used for the standings. I know for draft position and such.

I don’t think we are. And if we don’t I don’t believe we win against the Saints either.

I think it defaults to that because as you said, we would have the same records and same in division records, while splitting with each other 1-1. Strength of schedule is the next tie breaker.

It’s kinda sucks because San Francisco will be much better next year with a decent qb and all the IR returns. Detroit will be much easier.

Id rather play Arizona and Minnesota.
