It's over

I’ll never understand this type of “Thank god it’s over” mentality for a piece of entertainment that you have no obligation to watch. You never see this with anything else.

Imagine watching like Big Bang Theory or something, hating every minute of it but still tuning in every week, eyes glued to the TV. Not only that...now imagine joining a Big Bang Theory internet community and spending hours of every day discussing it while trashing people who like the show, talking about how they are the problem and they’re why the show never gets any better, cause they’re okay with such a mediocre show. Imagine this being your lifestyle for like three consecutive seasons of a product you hate. Sure, maybe you tell yourself the show might be better the next season...but the producers are the same, the writers are the same, the flawed, poorly written characters who you fundamentally hate are largely the same, so perhaps that’s not too likely. Maybe there were a couple new minor side characters that were written into the show who you kinda dig, but they’re still at the mercy of the director and producers and so they don’t get the screen time that you’d like them to. Maybe the one character who you loved was written off the show and you spend the entire next season spamming how much you hate the new guy they wrote into the show to replace him. That all sounds pretty foolish, no?

Yes Huddle Karens, you still have every right to be a fan of the team. I just don’t understand being triggered by everything the organization does and yet still devoting a not insignificant chunk of your life to the product it puts out on the field. Personally, the second my entertainment ceases to be entertaining, I’ll pull the plug without a moment’s hesitation.

Three straight miserable seasons under Mr. Tepper’s ownership.

I hadn't thought about the last 3 seasons in this context because it just seemed like regular Panthers stuff lol.  But you're right...  it essentially feels like nothing had changed from JR to Tepper.  Bumbling decisions, late to pull the trigger on moves that should've been obvious, consistently inconsistent, etc.  And I don't want a meddling owner, but for a guy known for his investing mind, how tf he agreed to pay Bridgewater 24M per season may be among the worst FA signings we have ever made regardless of length of contract.
