If You're Going To The Game Or Know Somebody Who Is, Can You Do Me A Favor...

Hurney firing... if you would add loses, low ticket sales, stadium filled with opposing team fans, and boo's. It can influence some things, cause its down right embarrassing

I wont go out and say Moore will come in. It may have influenced that in 07, but Jake wasn't there

I'm sure Richardson sits around thinking, hey I like Hurney so I'm going to keep him at GM... so long as fans don't predictably boo our team when we start playing bad of course. I mean, if that happens he'll have to be fired.

At least you're right about it being an embarrassment though.

Yes, I'm sure our FO and coaching staff is decided on by whether fans boo our team during tough stretches or not.

Let's see... if they boo a little bit, we'll get a new GM. If they boo really loud, we'll get a new head coach too. And if they go totally bat s**t crazy booing, well then we'll just ship on out to LA.

Instead of showing disgust and booing when they stink it up on the field, we should all stand up and give them a standing ovation while clapping our hands, John Fox style, to keep their confidence up. That will show our support for the team!

    • Yeah, honestly being a long-term backup is at least as much about being a good lockerroom presence and accepting your role as a supporting piece and not being a greasy wheel as much as it does about ability. Backup QB requires a completely different mindset than the starter and some guys just can't make that switch. It doesn't make them bad guys or locker room cancers or anything like that, it just makes them not what you're looking for in a long-term backup. You bring in that type of guy to compete. You don't bring in that type of guy if you're not looking for competition.
    • Im saying its Tar Heel fans who would do that. I root for all Panthers to succeed regardless but college affiliation means zero to me
    • We have some good pieces.  Enough to be competitive week to week.  Coaching seems to be improving but they’ve made it much harder on themselves than needed.  There are very good reasons to be optimistic about the future. However, I don’t trust them yet.  Wins are odd looking and mostly ugly.  Our opponents have to have a bad day for us to hang with them.  A lot of that is because we still haven’t figured out the most important position and will continue until it’s solved. I think Morgan has done a nice job in both the draft and FA so far.  He’s getting better each day he’s in that position. As far as the players listed, I’m pretty much in agreement.  XL and Bryce are not performing the way they should at this point.  I will say XL could see more success in a vertical passing attack to better utilize his speed. And as always, Fug Tepper.
