1: Even though they were idle on Friday night, the Canes locked up the first seed in the Central Division. It marks the team's fourth division title since 1997 and their first since 2005-06.

13: The Canes are riding a 13-game point streak (9-0-4), which ties a franchise best last set in 2017.

17: The Canes have won all six match-ups against the Predators this season and have won 13 of their last 14 against Nashville. In their last 21 games in the series between the two teams, the Canes are 17-3-1.

Well here we are, division champs for the first time in 15 years. We have semi control over first place in the league as well. Rod quote “If your in the lineup your full speed ahead” signals we are still going for the one seed but he did mention that we do have semi control over who we play in the playoffs.

Nashville needs two points(from a regulation win) or a stars loss in either of their final two games to acquire fourth place. Nashville can also win with two overtime losses.

We are currently tied with the Golden Knights for the one seed maximum of 84, though id the tie breaker goes to ROW’s they would beat us. So any way you look at it we have to win out and they have to lose at least one of their 3 remaining games in overtime or regulation for us to have control. 
 

Martinook practiced with the 4th line today split with McCormick so not sure if we will see him tonight. Brock and Paquette practiced with the extras.

One correction. Vegas could win all the rest of their games in OT and we win the rest of ours in regulation and we’d win the RW tiebreaker. Barring that Vegas must beat Col and the Blues again plus the sharks to have control of the one seed.

Beat em tonight and see how the cards fall for Monday, Strategically sitting some firepower then might be in play.

Hope so, I think he may have been more injured than just some banged up vet rest.

I wouldn't consider it gaming the system doing your job up until this point gives you the right to pick your matchup.

      Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.

      Don’t recall seeing many of his interviews but what strikes me is that he engages and goes in depth. Even with the cliche answers as referenced by OP come across somewhat thoughtful.  Very likable personality despite being someone who can crush an average person like I can crush a paper cup. I knew Motons mother had a career at MSU but was looking on the google and found that Mushin Muhammad personally knew Motons grandfather.   His late grandfather was a professor at MSU.   Cool guy.  Interesting family and small world.

      I think people aren’t patient enough with Young. It can take a few years for a QB to develop. Look at Darnold, Baker and most recently Daniel Jones.   he hasn’t been able to put up big passing numbers either cause of how much we run the ball. You can tell our coaching staff still hasn’t took the training wheels off Bryce and let him go all out. We’ve had some pretty bad receivers as well. We finally got a true number one last year and look how much Bryce improved. Still we didn’t really have any depth behind TMac. Coker was hurt for a lot of the year and XL was our #2. How many big plays or TDs has XL dropped? I think this year can be the year we see Bryce able to hit his stride. If not then we can start looking for another qb but I just ask people to be patient.
