Let's take care of our own house. I do not want to go searching through the Carolina Panthers forum to find the playoff thread for the Canes. If we're good enough to have our own forum, then we're good enough to keep our game day threads here.

Game 1, I went looking, saw nothing here and thought the server crapped the bed when I saw no one posting as the game was going on.

Why would I spend time with Roseanne Barr in a Panther jersey when I've got Marley girl wearing a Canes sweater? Panther fans should be coming to this forum, not the other way around.

It’s what’s happened the past few years that’s why I did it. Keeping with tradition I suppose. It also garners way more hits on ads for Zod. 

 

Sorry I should have made a separate thread here linking the other. Everything besides game time stuff I will be posting here on the series thread. I’m going to bump the main forum thread at about game time but otherwise I’m cool with just posting here. Just trying to do our part to contribute to the ad hits to keep the huddle operating. 

What ever y’all want to do game discussion wise for us caniacs I’m down with. I can make a game thread before tonight’s game if needed or we can use the series thread.

I kinda agree, bumping it just brings a lot of football guys with no Canes cards into the Convo.

It does bring a ton more hits for the server but I think splitting the difference and doing a game thread here linking it and bringing the guys down here that do want to discuss  the games as ABH suggested. Idk, suggestions?

That wouldn't be a bad idea, I know the Canes sub forum had a lot more posters prior to the 9 year playoff drought.

      If you want to say DJ ran a lazy route, fine. But that throw was garbage. There was a window just outside the hash marks but that ball was thrown damn near to the sideline. I don't know what route DJ was supposed to run but if you're Ben Johnson you also have to know your QB in this situation. Williams is a gunslinger at heart and any points on this drive wins you the game. You gotta protect him from himself and be methodical. Draw up a deep shot and he's probably gonna uncork that thing whether it's there or not. There's also the reality that DJ might have been concussed. He took a hard hit on the sidelines earlier and spent several minutes in the tent and just never looked the same in that game after that. I put some blame all the way around on this one. DJ didn't run the greatest route and seemed to not be expecting the ball. Williams through a bad ball and tool an unwise risk at that point in the game. And Johnson set himself up to get show in his own foot by his gunslinger.

      Statistically, Bryce should NOT be a starting QB, and the consistency shows that. He shows up against favorable secondaries, and disappears against good ones. Hopefully now the team is focused on giving him better receivers and the receivers will win games on their own, ala Steve Smith type receivers, and he won’t be as big of a liability. That’s asking a lot for a #1 overall pick QB to need that of course. Whe we just had a QB before Bryce that took teams to the playoffs with Brenton Bersin and Kaylin Clay as his top receivers

      They can realistically pick up future interior linemen on day 3. They have 1 pick in the 4th and 2 picks in the 5th. Prime time to pick up quality drops at interior oline. Grab another starter level guard or two in FA. Like old vets on a one year deal.
