Why even give Jonathan Stewart carries last night? Why give Sutton carries? Has nobody on this freakin staff ever heard of going with the hot hand? We have arguably the best running back in the league on our team and we pass the ball to him once and only let him run the ball 13 times.

We drop back to pass and leave him in to block on 3rd downs? Give me a freaking break...a running back isn't going to make up for the fact that we don't have Jordan Gross. This staff was very ill-prepared for the loss of Gross and how the play-calling should work. This game just sent me over the edge...I wish that Richardson would pull a Ralph Wilson and just go ahead and fire Fox right now. People around the league have enough respect for Richardson not to question any decision he makes at this point. We have a team FULL of playmakers and we are going to be lucky to go 8-8 or 7-9.

I have no real problem with giving Stewart some carries but Williams needs to be in on key downs. Stewart just doesn't have the vision Williams does. Stewart gets stuffed on plays williams would have broken away from. Stewart is still a good back but over the season I just don't trust him to get the 1st down as consistantly as Williams.

      I’m not mad at Moehrig.  He’s great at what he does.  And to be honest, a lot of my favorite safeties in our history were box-first type guys - Maxie, Minter, Mike Mitchell, Chris Harris…  they’re first and foremost objective was to put people on their backs and coverage was secondary.  There is a place for that.  There is a definite need for that.  Physical guys that set the tone.  So cool, we have that in Moerhig. But what we have lacked for the vast majority of our existence is a true free safety that cleans everything up on the back end.  Sometimes they come in the form of a JOAT, like Peppers.  I think he would be a fantastic compliment to Moehrig’s strengths and weaknesses.  If we don’t go after him, I certainly hope Ransom is given the chance to grow and develop in real-time with real game reps, because what he did in preseason was very encouraging to see.  I hope he can grow into that roaming center fielder with a little bit of an edge to him as an enforcer as well.  He has the tools.  In the meantime, adding Peppers would only help.

      Option 1 is most likely. Even if he kills it this year, it wouldn't be prudent to rush an extension for one good season. If you have to pay him more because you waited another year, then he earned it. And that's OK. Adjust accordingly.

      Cam had the advantage of having a very strong supporting cast his first 2 seasons. Things definitely worsened later on. But those first couple of years can kill a QB. Some never truly recover. If they do recover it takes years, and usually with another team. Trying to learn to be an NFL QB with TEs and WRs that are trying to learn too is a recipe for disaster. Imagine if Cam's rookie season was that 2014 offensive squad. Changes everything! I said it when they moved up in 2023. This team wasn't ready for a rookie QB yet. Anyone that thinks Stroud would have been a lot better is delusional. The correct formula is to build a strong team and then you go get your rookie QB. Not the other way around. BY is going into his third season and we're still trying to put a respectable group of WRs and TEs around him. I think they have the right personnel now. Unfortunately they haven't developed into actual NFL players yet.  This season we should expect consistency and aggressiveness from BY. Mostly for his development but also to DEVELOP his young cast.
