Because I am showing the pure ignorance that gets spewed around this board from time to time.

In reality a lot of folks on here have no damn idea what they are talking about.

The fact is, there are some smart football people on here, but the masses and "majority of post" on here are from pure emotion and ignorance...

2 years ago people were calling Williams garbage, and now look at what he has done since.

Kinda puts the "blog/forum world" into perspective...

That's because a lot of them made posts like this, and only after Williams broke out last year. Username "adallastiger" comes to mind. He made "I told you so" threads almost weekly.

That was also the extent of his Panthers knowledge.

AK, i've always liked you and defended your posts, but this is pretty stupid. c'mon man, tons and tons of people have liked williams since we drafted him and defended him.

Hey-- I am just telling it like it is. There was quite a lot of folks who were shaddy on Williams or wanted Foster to keep getting the ball....

I guess that was the biggest arguement. A lot of us wanted williams to get carries in 06 because Foster was done, but there were a bunch of folks who thought otherwise.

I remember a Foster fan/Williams Fan war for a while. Most of the Foster fans jumped on Stewarts side when we drafter him, so now you see it again...

Im just rubbin it in ;)

Its nice to talk about something positive ( a player doing very well) then just sit around and bitch about the dolphins game....

He definitely will have better production than Smith this year. Thats a given. My concern is, will that translate to more wins for this team? Its very possible D Will could put up 1,500 yards, double digit TDs and we'll still have a losing record. IMO, we are at our best when we get #89 the ball on a consistent basis because it opens everything up anyway.

I agree... jUST think of Barry Sanders....

WIlliams is at his best in the open field making people miss, we all know he has the potential of breaking the long run and getting a TD
