They've been alternating- I have no idea why. Seems to me they would have put their best on the ice for the first game at home. Now they've lost home ice advantage and will have to steal 1 or 2 in Springfield.

I think Noessen finished with 4 assists last night in a total domination. It would have been more lopsided had Chicago not put themselves on the wrong side of a 5-on-3 power play.

Special teams are an issue with Chicago. They have a pretty decent PP, but their PK is weak and they commit a lot of penalties- not a good combination.

Carry this momentum into Springfield and take one or 2 on their ice. Remember the Calder Cup is played 2-home, 3-road, 2-home. So losing game 1 at home really gives Springfield home ice advantage.

A dominant 4-0 shutout on the road to regain home ice advantage. Kochetkov stopped 36 shots along the way.

Series stands at 2-1 Chicago with 2 more games in Massachusetts before returning home for the final 2, if needed.

Also one thing to note, Drury is only seven points away from the most points by a rookie in AHL Playoff history. He’ll probably come up just short but man has the kid sure been fun.

The Wolves have a chance to close it out tonight. The Canes have a chance to become the first team to see their AHL affiliate win back to back Calder Cup championships since 2009-10 when Washington - Hershey did.
