Is Steve Smith getting..

Yea... ummm.... no WR in the NFL can get open on Revis. Sorry. Not Moss, not Marshall, not Wayne, not White, not Colston, not Ginn Jr., not Owens, not Holmes, not Ochocinco, not Holt, not Andre Johnson, not No ONE.

Revis has shutdown Moss twice and Andre Johnson this year and they have actual QBs throwing to them. Smith had Revis beat on that wound duck deep ball that was picked off. Wide open receivers happen from confusing a defense with routes and misdirection. How often do we run a play that turns out to not be what it appears or get a defense to bite with a double move and pump fake? Jake is so bad now none of that even matters. He's just as likely to throw a pick or incompletion when trying to hit a covered receiver or wide open one.

Steve looked to have him beat on the 2nd INT, yet, Delhomme threw the worst duck up and they both had to stop, (actually Steve even had come come back) just to make a play on it.

Jake throwing a ball is like a punt return chance for the other team.

Jake can't throw the deep ball and hit Smith in Stride, its really always been this way but worse now then in past. The 2nd INT, would've been a TD with a good pass/qb

The first was obviously a fluke play, Jake was not on same page with Smith/Moose. Had smith been were ball was thrown, after it hit ground at his feet Moose would've collided with him. Moose was coming to where ball was thrown on his route. Smith was going deeper.

There is a few articles claiming STeve got shut down. I'm not saying that Revis didn't do a great job and isn't elite. I just think if you write about this poo for a living you should mention the QB who was throwing the damn ball. Like others have said on here I think steve had position a few times.

    • There are no juggernauts this year. Feels like everyone in the playoffs field is gonna have a puncher's chance. All the best teams still have very obvious flaws.
    • It does vary, and depends on their health and other factors. I mean you really can’t look at the schedule in August and know what you will be facing mid season or even early Any time because stuff happens. It is any given Sunday relative to that. Early this year, KC was beatable. Will they be in December? And we don’t know if they’ll be motivated, or out of it. One team, that is likely a different team in 10 weeks. That’s an example what I mean.  Far as “decent” we know who the good teams are. We could hit a good team on a bad day, and we could have a really good one. It happens. All I’m saying. And I don’t expect it not to, for random teams. That’s about it. Predicting wins is an imperfect pastime.
    • To the folks the last couple years who were boosting up Josh Allen and shitting on Cam Newton. This one goes out to you.
