Sharpe & Cowher on CBS

This team may very well have as much talent as the team Cowher took to the Super Bowl.

I used to think Cowher and Fox were very similar until I looked up Cowher's numbers... Cowher was taking heat near the end of his time in Pitt for not winning the Superbowl, but he was in the playoffs every year - none of this year off/year on stuff, always with a competitive club - and I think he learned his lesson with Big Ben, you need a good QB to get a ring.

Picking up Cowher would instantly turn our conservative team into an aggressive team by philosophy alone. Even though we pick up 3rd and 20s on the ground every now and then, we could figure out a couple new plays to use for those situations.

Give John Fox Big Ben, Dick LeBeau and the Steeler system and he has a ring or two.

I'm not against Cowher at all, but he is no savior.

If he comes here, I hope he gets lucky again like in Pitt.

Believe me, I would rather have a young Coach ready to take on the NFL than a retread. But if Cowher were to become the Coach I would not have problem with it.

Lucky?? He was very constant throughout his stint with the Steelers. Fox not so much here. Fox got lucky.

Cowher won with the Steelers before Lebeau. And before Big Ben. Cowher is the Steelers system more or less. Give Steelers the Fox system and they would be nothing.

If we were to get a retread then Cowher is my choice.

I'll tell you the difference between Cowher and Fox, ..Cowher would not have Jake as the QB...and I love the way Cowher isn't a scardy cat to get in the QB's face and yell when his QB throws a pick....

And yet he has Maddux & Kordell on the team. Also, he originally didn't wanted Roethlisberger before they got him.

Cowher certainly would get this team some attention.

I believe there is a lot of talent on this team. The right moves, and the right coach and this team is great. Cowher is a celebrity. Is he really the man? It took him a long time to win a SB. Some people have "assumed" that he learned something about having a good QB. One would thing that Fox would have already learned that before now. Cowher yells a lot....does that transfer to positive attitude/energy with the players where it matters? He will command a lot of money. My question is...is he really worth it or has he just cleverly put himself in a marketable position?

As I said, I believe there is a lot of talent on this team. The right moves, and the right coach and this team is great. Cowher is a big name. Is he really the man?
