John Fox Comments after the game

Valid, but there was no realistic chance of that happening.

If we made a change in the offseason, it probably would have been to McCown, not Moore.

(outside QB prospects sucked)

Yeah, I was sorta joking. But I thought we had 3 prime chances: Eagles Game, Bye Week, and Bills game.

I think you will see the change this week.

I believe that Fox stayed with Jake because he felt a veteran QB gave us the best chance to rebound and make a run at the playoffs. Jake has always been streaky in the past.

Now that the playoff talk is officially done, he will move on to evaluate young talent.

I'd love to agree, but in fairness, those statements are not that different from what he said the last time this was supposedly under consideration.

I'll believe it when I see Matt Moore getting the starter's snaps in practice.

it was more of a faint hope of silver lining kind of thing. more than we have gotten all year. not putting much stock into it but it was more than had been said all year.
Agreed. How many times have we heard Fox say that not just the quarterback, but all positions would be evaluated during the week?
we've heard it before, for sure but again it was fox admitting that there were problems...baby steps here. we'll see what he does. history tells us not to expect much but anything is possible.
You guys should just be pumped as hell Fox admitted to thinking about changing QB's during a game. Thats progress!!
absolutely.
I might be, if not for the fact that the previous time he "thought about it" he came to the conclusion that Jake still gave them the best chance to win.

No guarantee his "thought" process doesn't wind up leading back to the same conclusion.

fox is allergic to change. changing schemes, strategies, personnel, whatever it is he just doesn't like it. that is why i'm not expecting anything much. still...it's more than we've gotten so far this year. if ever there was a time that change could happen, it's now.

btw...i agree that the bye week would have been a better time to make that change. after he was benched in the eagles game would have been the best time.

I am almost wondering if Jake want's to be benched, but will not admit it to the team or coaches.....as it would be seen as quitting on them.

Not sure, but his body language seems to be saying...."enough already".

That what I'm thinking too. Based on his expression, he just want to stop & let someone else take over. I think that show Fox refuse to bench him even if he want to benched himself. I think Fox push Jake too hard & we can see that from how he has been lately. You just don't put a starter in when he been terrible lately, because it not going to make it any better. I feel sorry for Jake with how Fox is pushing him too hard when he doesn't seem to want it.
