Latest video and within our narrator shows that he's not AI and that he has a new book coming out. He's a great guy and he's been my best buddy for more than 30 years now.

Btw, yes, the dog was safe. And yes, the man was not in his right mind when they wheeled him into the interview room. His Miranda rights, very carefully, were not violated in the least bit, as they were unable to even verify his name, date of birth or address fully. Once they couldn't do that, there wasn't anything else they could do.

I tell you this just to give you a little look behind the scenes of when we do these videos. We do a public information request to police departments or other agencies to get everything they are able to share on these subjects. Some provide more than others, all redact some of the information. In this particular one, we got the video of the police officer rolling up, the quick roadside deal and then him entering the apartment. We also got the footage of the attempted interview. We received some photos and about 30 pages of police reports (many of which were just forms from an officer on scene stating that they were there and they watched such and such quadrant of the crime scene).

That's it. And my job is to come up with a story for this, patch together the footage, photos and reports that we received into something at least somewhat compelling. In this case, there was no information about the victim or what happened to the murderer. And that had me digging for days.

In this particular case, the murderer languished for nearly three years in the county jail because of the Covid situation, then there were literally dozens of pages of trial delay requests by prosecutors and defense attorneys (and a revolving door of public defenders). In the end, both sides just threw up their hands and offered the killer a plea deal, just to get it off their docket. Was Justice done? No, not at all. Was expedience the byword? No, not at all. Is this commonplace? I'm really afraid it is.

And the victim? It took days to track down even the slightest information about him, and as said in the video, his published obituary only provided that he had been born at a certain time and had died on that day. It was a sad, soul-chilling thing to stumble across and it bothered me for days that this happens to people.

So, there we are. I get an initial request to do a script about a guy claiming to have killed a Terminator and I have to do my best to bring it back around and make it about people as best I can. I've got to, for my own sake.

And we reached 1 million subscribers this week!!!!!

It has been a long climb but we made it. Now, how fast will the second million go because the last four years have been quite the learning curve.

For those watching, thanks so very much! And for those subscribing, thank you!

So, we've got a new video up. This one is a tough one, but I needed to write it so that it got across the message as to just how flimsy protective orders are. I also wanted to show how one of the police officers did everything he could for all of the people involved, truly embodying the "Protect and Serve" credo. Let me know what you think of it. We put a lot of work into these.

    • What?!?!?! Chark's 1,000 yard season was 4 years before he played for us and he only had 525 yards in 15 games as our #1 WR.  Dude has 3,100 yards in 7 seasons, he's the literal definition of a JAG and you think he is better than half our current WR room? T-Mac is literally already better than Chark was at his peak, which again, was years before he ever even put on a Panthers uniform, and there is a real argument to be made that XL and Coker were both better as rookies than Chark was for us in his one season here.
    • Im glad we're starting low. It's nonsensical to put us at 28 IMHO based on objective things IMHO (I think 21-24) is far more appropriate but whatever. Washington was at the bottom last year FWIW.  In 2003, Sports Illustrated said our best chance to win the division was to transfer to the ACC. In 2015, everyone wrote us off as a team that snuck into the playoffs with a losing record in 2014 and lost our best WR in TC (Kelvin Benjamin). All these videos are fodder for conversation, but this prediction has no more validity than saying the Panthers are making the SB bc we're starting the season against the Jaguars again. If Bryce plays like he did down the stretch we will end up the season just fine. This roster is much better than it has been the last 2 seasons. No one knows who any season will ultimately end up, but this team is finally being built in the right way, and the idea that this roster can't compete this year is as insane as being it was when we were gaslit in 2023 that we were a rookie QB from winning the division with that roster.
