Still A Glimmer Of Hope

Well excuse me for trying to have a little hope My God you people are brutal!!

4-7 will do that :nonod:

i just don't think playoffs are even remotely feasible with the patriots, vikings, and saints still on the schedule... at this point our best hope is to see whose season we can spoil and what backups display potential for 2010 :(

I don't see 9-7 working for US to make the playoffs, assuming that we could even win all of our remaining games. Dallass, NO, and Minnesota sure look like locks to win their divisons, as do the Cards. Of the remaining 2 wildcard slots, I don't see many tie breakers that work our way. We lost to Philly by a bunch. Our record vs. the rest of the conference is not as good as Green Bay's or Atlanta's. Of course, with 5 games to go, a lot can happen, but we have games AT New England and New York Giants, and Minnesota and NO here. I just don't see it.

Zod please close the thread I tried to provide a little hope but it backfired.

While your intent is pure, it's a bit like walking into a medical support group and looking at a terminally ill person then saying, with a smile,

"Well, in 2% of the cases of your disease, the person made a full recovery! :)".

They'd probably not even want to know there's slim margin of hope, because their odds are such crap, they're more likely toast. In fact, the person MIGHT cuss you out for trying to be positive in mortal situation

This season is dead. In fact, arguably, it died out of the gate. :(
