If only Chris Gamble was like.....

I think Gamble has the talent to be one of the best. He's getting there but I wish he was more physical. I think he'll reach his full potential next season. Similar to how it took Thomas Davis a while to come into his own.

Our lack of Pass rush and the Fact Marshall is getting beat like a Drum dose not help Gamble. Remember when Lucas was good. Teams didnt have a place to throw the ball and both of them ended up with alot of picks.

I still think we should have kept Lucas....a lack of pass rush and Godfrey made Lucas look much worse than he reallly was.

Revis is really really good but that INT when he went up against smitty was a piss poor pass thrown by Jake. Anyone on the huddle could have the time to camp under that rainbow, too much air floater and caught that
that's a lot like the INT he got against the jets last night...doesn't take anything away from him, though. he's an opportunist but he puts himself in a good place consistently that gives him those opportunities. where is that place? the WRs back pocket. there is no cushion. he shuts down every WR that he covers. there are sometimes that he gets beat but those times are very few and far between.

only person i see on the team that has the potential to be a shut down corner is the captain. he has that aggressiveness, tenacity, and will stick right by his man. give him a little time and he could be right up there.

gamble just isn't physical enough and allows too much of a cushion.

i want a #1 corner who doesn't have to rely on support from the safety to cover his man.

lucas was not very good anymore. he looked bad because he is pretty bad.

he only looked bad the 2nd half of the season. he looked like normal Lucas the 1st half of the year. In the defensive scheme we ran last year didn't the CBs have to rely on S help?

    • Tools. If I hear that term used one more time I'm going to lose my damn mind.  "Tools" are meaningless if they cannot use them already. Stop looking for "tools" and find productive football players. Stop looking for combine freaks and look for guys that have produced at a high level already. Tools my ass.
