One of my biggest questions about Wilks

WTF happened to all the talk about moving Chinn closer to the line of scrimmage and not having him drop back as much? I thought he argued with Snow about this. I thought once Wilks took over Chinn was going back to being the SS/OLB. That never happened. There was only like 1 maybe 2 games where he played Chinn more at the LOS and then it just stopped.

My guess is a moribund Bucs run game generating a grand total of 67 yards on 25 attempts while your backup corners keep getting torched deep made this a non option today.

Its not like Chinn helped any. If anything, he wouldve helped getting to Brady. And im not just talking about today. Im talking ever since Wilks took over. Hes been out of position ever since his 2nd year.

I was in the corner of retaining Wilks but not after this performance.

It's not so much that we lost it's how we lost.

Had McAdoo and Sam and the offense been a no show and Tampa was able to grind out a win that's one thing.

But for the defense to get torched by an anemic offense is another. Tampa has no run game, Brady dinking and dunking is their run game. Teams have been content to let them dunk and dunk all year and keep everything in front of them, but once in the RedZone those passing windows tighten up and the Buccaneers more than not have had to settle for field goals rather than touchdowns.

It became apparent early that the pass rush was getting home. To leave your back up cornerbacks on an island with their only home run threat all game is asinine. The bad game plan and the inability to adjust the game plan is why I'm off the Wilks train.

    • Top 2026 Roster Needs & Priorities: EDGE/Outside Linebacker (OLB): Improving the pass rush is the top priority, as the team ranked in the bottom tier for sacks, with D.J. Wonnum heading to free agency. Inside Linebacker:  With Wallace disappointing and Rozeboom possibly on the way out, the Panthers ILBs have been rated in the low 50s on PFF.  They need a quality man in the middle.  Defensive Line (Interior): Support for Derrick Brown is needed to improve interior pass rush, with needs for more consistent production beyond A'Shawn Robinson and a recovering Nick Wharton. Offensive Line (LT/C): The team needs a potential starter at left tackle and a long-term solution at center, with Cade Mays and others facing free agency. Wide Receiver: Adding explosive weapons to complement the passing game is a priority. Safety: Upgrading the secondary with better coverage skills to support Tre'von Moehrig and Lathan Ransom.  Considering that you can afford one to three free agents, and considering that you can reasonably expect 2-3 draft picks to contribute immediately, how would you attack the roster needs?  (Lets see how this goes--)
    • Correct but it also won't include special teams
    • From Hurney 2.0 through Morgan has been an OL drafting fiasco. Morgan’s first draft alone saw us take Legette/Brooks instead with Zack Frazier just waiting but he kind of learned under Fitterer when we took TMJ over Humphrey and later in that draft took a long snapper over Trey Smith. For good knows why, we’ve been taking risky bad value day 2 picks when IOL and LB picks on day 2 are great value picks because the top prospects at those positions don’t usually go day 1.
