Pat Stewart out

Williams makes it sound like they're parting amicably but Stewart might be a little disappointed.

Mentioned that he's previously worked with Cardinals GM Monti Ossenfort so I wonder if he lands there.

(and if he does, would he be willing to help facilitate trade talks with us)

Talked previously here about people with connections to Reich. Here are two that come to mind...

Morocco Brown: Brown currently holds the title of Chief Personnel Executive with the Colts. He's previously worked in personnel roles for the Redskins, Browns and Bears.  He has some Carolina connections in that his first NFL boss was original Panthers GM Bill Polian and he's a graduate of NC State. Worth noting as well that Brown has been interviewed by multiple teams for GM openings.

Ed Dodds: The current Colts Assistant GM has more and deeper connections than Brown in that he's not only worked with Reich but also with Scott Fitterer and Dan Morgan for several years in Seattle. And yes, he's also had multiple GM interviews, including with us (he pulled out of the search shortly after interviewing). The problem here would be that Dodds already has an Assistant GM role so a position like Stewart's would be a step down.

Either of these guys would be a home run addition to the front office. Brown would obviously be the more likely of the two given their respective positions but there is a scenario where Dodds and the Colts could part ways if Colts owner Jim Irsay insists on hiring Jeff Saturday and Dodds isn'ton board with tying his career to that decision.
