I agree that the "graded top 20 against the run" is a bit vague but hopefully he shows us where is he pulling that from.  Is it top 20 in the nfl, ends etc?  A few more details would be nice because stats be damned my eyes see him getting manhandled against the run one on one more times then not

Here’s PFF thru week 12.

10. BRIAN BURNS, CAROLINA PANTHERS

Burns has been an ironman for the Panthers this year, leading all edge defenders in snaps (718). Despite that heavy workload, he's been incredibly productive. Burns ranks fourth in the NFL in pressures (53) while also placing second in hurries (34). He’s already recorded double-digit sacks for the first time in his career (10) and is still only 24 years. His lack of ability to stop the run (49.5 PFF run-defense grade) is the only thing keeping him from being higher on this list.

Burns is a solid player, understandably kept as a cornerstone, somebody to build around… he is not a game changer, he’s not the guy getting through on 3rd & need-a-stop but he makes plays…

More of a CJ, I ain’t knocking him. But Charles needed Pep & Hardy, as they did him…

    • AR was never ready to be the opening day starter, just like Bryce. These rookie QBs are rushed into service when they really need time to develop and learn without the pressure of being the immediate team savior. I liked AR with the right HC, not Frank, and always thought he'd need some time to get up to the NFL speed and competitive level. He probably would have learned over the course of the year that running repeatedly into NFL defenders as a QB is a recipe for a short career. Cam was the exception, not the rule.
    • Oh I forgot about Barkov….im naming players on a team I don’t like….the team is stacked.  Seth Jones!  Holy poo
    • It’s like posting with myself haha. For those that know…   boys, it’s the canes vs Florida for the next three years. We all know these two teams will see eachother again in the ECF 2-3 three years. It’s going to be fun.
