it's not fox, it's not jake, it's not peppers ----- it is our JOKE of an offensive co-ordinator jeff davidson......we had a chance to really pound the sucaneers and we still get the same bullshit up-the-middle crap on 3rd and 7 or 3rd and whatever even tho moore looked pretty sharp throwing....how the hell can we be excited about hiring cleveland freakin browns cast-offs???

i'm not sure who a hot young co-ord would be but when i can call every play in the stands as we line up ----something's gotta change

oh, by the way..................danny crossman really sucks too.

Davidsons game plan works with a decent QB like it or not. I don't like the 3rd down draws anymore than you do but it is understandable with Matt Moore in there. It's not understandable with Jake Delhomme in there. They are protecting the QBs. But I did think that Fox and Davidson set Moore up for failure today with those 3rd and longs we had. We ran so many no gainers today. We should be passing more on 2nd down.

That = FOX

Its ok- Fox is gone after this season, we will get someone in here who will mix it up.

Wow, what a moron. Where the hell have you been all season? People have been head hunting ever since the bye-week. I've heard people calling for the jobs of Fox, Jake, Hurney, Davidson, Crossman, and the one that I can't understand why, Meeks.

Fox is an excellent coach when he isn't fuging glued to a crappy player. Hurney picks up big playmakers that improve the team, but ignores the need to fill positions that are really hurting. Jake WAS good, but not anymore. Moore outplayed him in every single way. Davidson gave us our current offensive scheme that makes our running game so damn good, but the playcalling has been questionable at best. Part of that is Jake, but Davidson really needs to get his act together if he wants to keep his job. Danny Crossman has been doing a shitty job on returning AND punting. The only good thing on the special teams is the Field Goals, courtesy of John Kasay.

Meeks has been doing an outstanding job. Since the bye-week, things have done nothing but get better on the defense. I'm not sure why people are calling for his job. He's the best coach on the staff.

3rd and 5, from the 8, up by 7, I kinda like handing it to the running game and taking the points over throwing into traffic in the endzone.

Since we see how well that worked for Tampa.

But hey, what do I know. Seems like we throw, people cry we should've run. We run, people cry we're too conservative.

      Saints trade WR Shaheed to Seahawks Seahawks get: WR Rashid Shaheed Saints get: 2026 fourth-round pick, 2026 fifth-round pick Seahawks' grade: A- Saints' grade: B+ One of the NFL's hottest passing teams just got better. The Seahawks currently rank third in EPA per dropback (0.25) and first in success rate on dropbacks (53%). And now they are adding Shaheed in a move that makes sense both on the field and in terms of where the Seahawks are as a franchise. Shaheed, 27, is averaging 1.8 yards per route run this season. But I think that sells him short because that number is down a bit from his career average entering this year (2.0) and he's been playing a role that includes running fewer vertical routes (34%) compared to last year (44%). Shaheed also has consistently posted above-average open scores in ESPN's receiver score metrics, including a 63 this season that ranks 28th among wide receivers. As a complement to Jaxon Smith-Njigba, I expect Shaheed will run downfield more often and be a bigger threat in that role than rookie Tory Horton was. When Cooper Kupp returns, he and Shaheed will make for a nice pair of secondary threats behind one of the best receivers in the league in Smith-Njigba. This is the time to strike for the Seahawks. FPI gives Seattle an 84% chance to make the playoffs and a 5% shot at winning the Super Bowl. This addition helps boost their chances without mortgaging their future the way the Colts did in the Sauce Gardner trade. Shaheed is a pending free agent but given the leverage of the moment for the Seahawks and their need I think they ought to be plenty willing to pay the cost. Shaheed is young enough to where if Seattle doesn't retain him he should sign a free agent contract that would yield Seattle a compensatory pick -- if the Seahawks don't nullify that pick with signings of their own. Because the Seahawks currently have $79 million in cap space next year, per OverTheCap, getting that compensatory pick is not guaranteed. The Saints are not rolling in cap space the way the Seahawks are -- and thus would land a compensatory pick for Shaheed -- but they got more draft capital this way than they otherwise would have. Considering New Orleans' 1-8 record, this should have been an easy decision.
