Clausen, Tate leaving Notre Dame for NFL draft

clausen will probably be the first QB taken and would require the world to draft.

tate as it stands now is a second round player that will climb a little depending on his combine. Any deal to grab clausen would almost certainly require the 2010 2nd rounder.

it's just no feasible.

Can someone explain to me the fascination with Clausen? I can think of at least 4 other QBs in this draft I'd rather have, and that's assuming Mallet isn't coming out.

excelled in a pro style offense, has all the tools in the world, might be a bit of a cade mccown

also get this mallet poo out of here right now. not only is he getting the petrino treatment (he was poo with a stacked cast in michigan) but he's dumb as a brick and sounds like an extra from 8 mile.

just smells like a brady quinn clone to me...but what the *** do I know? not much

nah, quinn was always overblown by the national media because of where he played and the fact he looks like me. every could see he was a poor man's pennington.

it should be obvious what nfl teams though about him. he would have fallen to the second if the browns hadn't needlessly traded up for him.

    • There probably isn’t an orthopedic surgery that has had more improvement in technique and outcomes over the last two decades than the acl repair. Because of its importance in pro sports and the sheer number that surgeons do there have been lots of opportunities to practice 1. Better techniques - arthroscopic v open surgery means people heal faster  2. More training - all sports med surgeons have tons of experience doing them 3. better imaging - later generations of mri are more sensitive  4. better therapy - PTs have gotten better at rehabbing them and the theories of rehab have improved a lot. No idea about brooks in particular tho, but I’d describe that overall situation as “not great”
    • If Freeling or either of the Utah OTs dropped to 19 I'd be more than happy honestly. Our OT situation isn't great with an aging Moton at RT and a mess of a situation at LT if Walker goes down at any point in time.  What I'm expecting the Panthers to do is probably draft another weapon like Sadiq or KC Conception. That's been their track record in drafting R1 thus far. None of the defensive talent projected to be around 19 stands out to me. Unless they just want to draft a LB early (Rodriguez,  CJ Allen, Anthony Hill, Jake Gollday).
