If Portland at #3 and New Orleans at #15 really want Scoot and you (Hornets) don’t want him at #2 but love Miller?

You can’t figure out a deal?

What are we talking about.

No !!! Because Portland wanted a vet not trade up for a rookie that plays the same position as their star player

Do you know who Dame Lillard is??

Not that hard to understand..

But since you have this non logical fantasy going in your head..

What are they offering to move up 1 pick??

Exactly.  Dame’s time in Portland is over now.

They had to make a huge move and CLT had the assets to make it happen. Now it’s over.

But if CLT took Scoot it would have been even more in our favor.  This roster needs a major rebuild, not just drafting a 19 year old.

Just stop living in your fantasy land ..

If we took Scoot they were taking Miller and hoping Dame would be happy ..

They couldn’t get a deal for the 3rd pick so they had to take Scoot and piss off Dame .. Now they are starting over..

Again they didn’t want to make this pick they wanted to trade it for a star vet player to pair with Dame.. They were forced into this pick…

This is reality not 2k

I agree with what you say/. It’s what I also said.

If you’re Charlotte and you want Miller and you have #2 and Portland wants Scoot and you can trade down to #3…it’s kinda a win-win.  And Charlotte gets additional assets trading down…that’s the smart move.

They just drafted the rookie you’re talking about at the same position as their star player you’re taking about.

WOW! Is right.

I’m so confused why you think Portland was offering assets for a pick swap and Charlotte declined. This is so bizarre.

Portland really wanted Scoot at #3.

If Charlotte just drafts Scoot at #2, what happens?

CLT preferred BM and others preferred Scoot.

Obvious trade-down #2 to #3 scenario.

OMG!! What is wrong with you..

Earth to Hookie if it came down to Miller or Scoot to Portland.. There is a strong opinion on Portland that they would have taken Miller as well because he fits better with their team With Dame then Scoot does…

Nothing you say is reality because Portland wanted to trade for a veteran and didn’t have any separation between Miller or Scoot.. Soooooooooo it didn’t matter to them who we picked.. If they had to make the pick (like they did) they were taking whoever we weren’t picking!!!

They weren’t going to give up assets for a certain player because either 1 was fine with them..

No no no no no…

Simply and easy to understand..

Portland wanted a vet..

They did not care whether they got Scoot or Miller…

And most reports in Portland feel like they liked Miller over Scoot anyway and he would have fit their team better with Dame..

Your scenario wasn’t even a possibility!!!

I feel like maybe you don’t understand how NBA draft trades work, or maybe even trades in general. First, you need both sides to agree to a trade. It sounds like you think the Hornets can just decide to make a trade without the trade partner’s consent. Two, you don’t take the player and bank on trading him later. You work out the trade beforehand and select for each other.

As I’m typing this I feel like I’m pissing into the wind and I’m pretty sure you’re just going to repeat the same thing again so I’m done just be pissed over this nonsense whatever.

    • Do you see the vision?  As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity.    Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man)  This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19.    Jacob Rodriguez  High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it.    Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line.    Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?
    • OL is arguably much more important to the success of a young QB. (Or any QB)
    • Didn’t get around to watching this one but looks like Pistons played their starters and actually tried…? Unlucky that they sit vs Magic, etc and try vs us. Hopefully we can beat the Heat and then Magic or 6ers with no Embiid. BUT if not, the NBA really should give us the lottery win this year like they did Mavs last year. Another high pick could be our final missing piece and have us as legit top contenders next year and going forward if we’re healthy. Or trade it for a Giannis type
