Smitty's interview on the Panthers offense

That is what he did in the interview. Your example is way off base.

Not surprised that is your view of my opinion.....but that is nothing new. I agree, that we don't agree, but it's not going to stop me voicing how I see things.....as I'm sure it isn't going to change your mannerisms either.

Problem=Problem, look at it how you want. We all deal with them differently, and that is exactly how I would deal with it regardless of how you would.

I bet his Agent would like to get him on a Higher Profile Team with a stud QB for the Endorsements.

No telling what is being said behind the scenes to Smith, and the fact is he only has 5 more years and once he slows down he probably loses all effectiveness given his size.

No one said he wasn't trying or wasn't an elite player, I just think he has a huge ego that needs to be stroked. That is a prima donna in my book. I guess I am old school who believes the opportunity to play, the millions of dollars, resultant perks should be enough.

Smith probably cares more about making plays than he does millions of dollars and perks. We've got enough of those guys on the team.

If I didn't like my role at work would I go to my boss and complain or would I write a letter to the editor at the local newspaper. In the letter would I intimate I don't like things at work but won't say anything because I will get in trouble. Then I go to work the next week and expect everything to be better.

Somehow I think your job and its priviledges, rights and duties thereof are just a bit different than that of an NFL player.

Why are we even debating this? Smith didn't say anything exceptionally negative. He's unhappy with the offense and his role in it, and that's to be expected.

Team I could see giving up their First Rounder this year for Smith to make them a strong Super bowl Contender next year:.......San Diego

Rivers to Smith and Gates combo. Would be hard to beat, plus Smith may want it being from SoCal and all. Could definitely see him demanding that trade.

Actually I have heard him say that he wouldn't get up out of bed for a measly 100 thousand dollars a year. So yeah it is about the money, Look at how he grew up and you know that money plays a big part in why he is successful.

Why are we debating it? Because I made a comment and you argued with it. I think he is prima donna like most wide receivers in the league and you like many others want to make excuses. It isn't like he is alone. Most of the guys as successful as him no matter the field are egotistical and prima donnas. Why is it so important to you to defend him?

I will repeat what I said earlier. You contradict yourself more than any other person on this board.

For you to ask that question alone is laughable after the way you defend Fox, Jake, and the rest of the Organization.

You are unreal.

I love my team......but you are truly blinded by something. I have no clue what........but you are in an insane way.

Touché.

It's not, really. Yet while I realize Smith is not perfect, I just don't think he is a primadonna -- that's a term that it seems is only thrown around to wide receivers. I'll say again that any player of Smith's caliber would be frustrated not to compete every Sunday.

I wouldn't put him in a category like a Brandon Marshall or Terrell Owens for sure. Still he has a history in the past of not associating with the other players, remaining aloof, etc. That changed somewhat with the whole Lucas issue and afternath, but he surely gets more breaks and is treated differently than most players on the team. That makes him a prima donna in my book but whatever. It isn't that important.
