locker that is....(or bradford)just going out on a limb here. but what would it cost us to make this happen. i m just curious what the board thinks would be the cost for us to jump this high and make it happen.

No one knows what it would cost, not even the (so called) experts.

But if you just want an opinion..........WAY TOO MUCH!

Jake Locker is anything but a sure thing. He is inaccurate and struggled against most of the decent defenses he played this season. All the first round hype surrounding the guy is a joke. He's a project who has the mechanics and arm strength to be an NFL QB, not an immediate starter.

and who would u prefer...no qb is a sure thing and jake's been decent from the start this kids done more with less his whole career than all these other pretenders. if u gonna miss on a prospect i d rather miss on a kid with tons of upside than pike or colt.....

I have never understood the obsession with Jake Locker. He was bad as a first year starter. He was mediocre this year. Against good teams, he struggled. I'm not saying he can't play in the NFL, I just don't understand why everyone assumes he can.

well i think its not that hes been stellar its that hes done more with less. this kid has beaten usc wit little to no help. i challenge u to name another offensive teammate of his. his situation is similar cutler at vand. hes done well with what he had which wasnt much. while is arm isnt in the same league as cutlers, he is a leader, has the "it" factor, and is bigger and stronger than most. the most important thing is he is a passer first with all the tools to be just as effective a runner as ur pat whites, jarret browns, and most running qbs.

I agree he doesn't have much help, but Locker did not beat USC. The team did. In a normal year, 16 points against USC wouldn't keep you within 2 touchdowns of the Trojans. Watching him play, he doesn't show much in the way of physical tools that make him stand out. I will admit I only really watched him play twice this year, so maybe my opinion is unfounded. Like I said, I don't think he will definitely be a bad player, I just don't understand why he is getting so much hype already. That and I think he is going back for his senior year.

i ll agree with he the team beat usc,but u know the qb gets all the credit good or bad and he was the leader. i dont see a senario where he chooses to return to washington and lose. once again when "could" be the number one qb off the boards or even the number 2 which he would land him more cash this season than the rookie scale that ll be in place next season. whatever he desides to do or where he goes he ll be losing might as well lose with the rams or browns and get a big check than for free with washington.

    • There probably isn’t an orthopedic surgery that has had more improvement in technique and outcomes over the last two decades than the acl repair. Because of its importance in pro sports and the sheer number that surgeons do there have been lots of opportunities to practice 1. Better techniques - arthroscopic v open surgery means people heal faster  2. More training - all sports med surgeons have tons of experience doing them 3. better imaging - later generations of mri are more sensitive  4. better therapy - PTs have gotten better at rehabbing them and the theories of rehab have improved a lot. No idea about brooks in particular tho, but I’d describe that overall situation as “not great”
    • If Freeling or either of the Utah OTs dropped to 19 I'd be more than happy honestly. Our OT situation isn't great with an aging Moton at RT and a mess of a situation at LT if Walker goes down at any point in time.  What I'm expecting the Panthers to do is probably draft another weapon like Sadiq or KC Conception. That's been their track record in drafting R1 thus far. None of the defensive talent projected to be around 19 stands out to me. Unless they just want to draft a LB early (Rodriguez,  CJ Allen, Anthony Hill, Jake Gollday).
