We need to clean house in the passing game.

Aside from Gary Barnidge, Dante Rosario, and Steve Smith, our QB/WR Corps needs to be completly revamped with quality. If that means bye bye to Julius, BYE BYE.

QB1 Chad Pennington

QB2 First Round Pick through blockbuster trade (or just second round pick if nothing happens)

QB3 Who gives a flying ****.

WR1 Steve Smith

WR2 Brandon Marshall

WR3 Davone Bess

WR4 Third Round Draft Pick

Thanks Muhammud but you should just retire now, bye DeBust Jerrett, and bye feel good story Kenneth Moore, bye failed slot reciever/running back Mike Goodson your useless dude, you can't hold on to the ball.

Trade Stewart, he is unneeded if our passing game doesnt work anyways. Sure he is a great player but the running game couldnt be going better for us this season and look where its getting us. WE Need more production from the passing game and the Running game can fall off a bit if need be (i have a feeling Sutton can step up and NOT fumble the ball, unlike what would happen if Goodson had to step up)

QB1 Chad Pennington He's retiring

QB2 First Round Pick through blockbuster trade (or just second round pick if nothing happens) Would rather pick Campbell up, and wait for Locker in 2010, unless there is someone valuable in 2nd, I don't want to waste a pick on a below average QB JUST to get a QB

QB3 Who gives a flying ****.

WR1 Steve Smith

WR2 Brandon Marshall I like this, but I highly doubt he'd want to share the spotlight with Steve Smith. Plus, he's got a shitty attitude

WR3 Davone Bess I love this guy, Wes Welker vs. 2.0. Unfortunately, there is no way Miami lets him walk

WR4 Third Round Draft Pick

Sounds like a good idea! People need to understand that RB's are a dime a dozen, and don't carry any real value that'd make it worth a trade

My comments are bolded.

eh, lost me as soon as i got to chad pennington.

He's not a bad QB, and in fact I would say he's underrated, and always has been. Even still, I would not want him coming to the panthers. I would like to see a young QB(let's say < or = 27) who has potential to be a franchise QB. Pennington has a terrible injury history, and likely won't be around for long. I think we should get a young guy or two, let them battle for the starting spot and give the winner the job (at least for a season) and try to develop them.

I mean they would be coming into the league with Steve Smith, 3 above average tight ends, and a top 3 running game, i couldn't think of a better situation for a young QB.

i would think a number one type receiver would want to play with another guy that demands attention..that way they won't be double teamed..

Well it's a double edged sword. The defense can't focus on either one, but at the same time, neither may get the ball as much as they want it. It would depend on the attitude the receiver has about the situation more than anything. I think Steve Smith would be O.K. with it because he knows what it's like to get triple teamed when there is no good second receiving option.

lol. let me know how that works out on madden.

brandon marshall? here? with steve smith? and then add in bess? lawdy lawdy lawdy....

yes, we do need some changes in the passing game.

new QB (duh) pick up a FA QB and draft one in the 2nd. have real competition for the starting gig. if we get a new OC and that OC is brilliant...let him choose the QB.

2 WRs brought in. one needs to be a FA (preferably jason avant or some other solid possession/slot receiver), another needs to be a big 6'2+ receiver either through FA or the draft (eric decker in the 3rd or 4th). smith stays. every other WR on the roster fights for one or two WR depth spots. best special teams player wins.

the TEs are a strength on the team. keep all 3 but line up and utilize rosario and barnidge as WRs often....especially in redzone and 3rd/4th downs.

RBS...we have good receiving options there as well and they should be used a lot. williams and stewart are both solid receivers. sutton is a good all around player with a lot of room to grow. goodson will be a very good playmaker once the game slows down for him. i still like him as a WR/RB.

one thing that is going to really help is a very good OC that is given the personnel choices he needs for his scheme and the freedom run the offense. if fox stays the only one i would feel good about coming in is weis. let weis pick his own QB, one that is smart enough to run his plays, and you have the makings of one of the best offenses in the league.

arizona got 2 number 1 wr
for now. they don't have the money (or willingness to pay the money) to keep both. with all the personnel decisions they have coming up...i'd be more surprised to see them keep boldin than trade him away. the cards are historically cheap.

    • Geno fits Canales and fits the O.  It’s why Geno worked in Seattle and not Oakland.  He is a deep ball passer.  NFL is about fit.  Geno would beat Bryce out in 2 weeks in a real camp battle.  Which ain’t Geno praise.  It’s just recognition Geno is a round peg and that is what we are lacking
    • Awesome idea.  Let's make Cincinnati an offer.  I'm 100% sure they are ready to give up on Burrow. That is if you can keep him on the field.  He's been available how many games over that past 3 seasons? Getting Burrow is about as realistic as finding the allusive Rainbow Unicorn.  Do you realize that Young was responsible for 19 of the 40 yards on that final drive? Rico had 21 yards. Both of those completions were for first downs.  That's what game winning drives require.  It doesn't require the QB to throw the ball each and every down.  You do know this? It's clear that you won't give credit where credit is due.   While Bryce isn't your typical "Franchise QB" he's running the gameplan our coaching staff designs.  Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Bryce sucks because you say so.
    • This team is built to win, which I said at the start of the season. I'm not saying we are a super bowl contender, but it's a playoff roster.  The big handcuff is at the QB position.  If Bryce Young cannot start playing at a professional level we are going to continue struggling and stealing wins instead of punching people in the mouth like we should.  The reality is we should be sitting at 2 losses and have blown several teams out, including Green Bay, but having absolutely NOTHING in the passing game is holding us back badly.  Point being, in this current scenario our best hope is that we barely make the playoffs and get absolutely obliterated in the first round.
