We need to clean house in the passing game.

I have to disagree 100 %

First off going into training camp let six Quarterback's vie for roster spots, and then when we hit the preseason let three of them compete for the starting job.

The Six Quarterbacks

Matt Moore

Jake Delhomme

Josh McCown

A.J. Feeley

Hunter Cantwell

Drafted Quarterback [Maybe Tony Pike or Colt McCoy]

Tight Ends

Keep all of our Tight Ends, because they are all essential to our offensive production. Rosario, King, and Barnidge all need to stay.

Wide Receivers

Jarrett and Martin are the only one's that need to be let go. Muhammad still makes play's for us, you can deny it all you want be is a big part of our passing game.

Here's how our Wide Receiver situation needs to addressed in the offseason

1. Steve Smith

2. Sign a Free Agent

3. Re-sign Muhammad

4. Kenneth Moore

5. Draft a WR

This is how I would like the Offense

QB 1- Matt Moore

QB 2- Jake Delhomme

QB 3- Colt McCoy [Drafted Quaterback]

QB 4- Hunter Cantwell [Practice Squad]

QB 5- Josh McCown [Cut]

QB 6- A.J. Feeley [Cut]

RB 1- DeAngelo Williams

RB 2- Jonathan Stewart

RB 3- Mike Goodson

RB 4- Tyrell Sutton

FB 1- Brad Hoover

FB 2- Tony Fiammetta

TE 1- Gary Barnidge

TE 2- Dante Rosario

TE 3- Jeff King

WR 1- Steve Smith

WR 2- Antonio Bryant [sign Bryant in the Offseason]

WR 3- Muhsin Muhammad

WR 4- Kenneth Moore

WR 5- Dezmon Briscoe [Drafted Wide Receiver]

That's a well thought-out lineup. Good job! I wouldn't mind this.

at first i looked at that and thought it was ridiculous but then i did some figuring.

18 on the roster up there plus 5 OL at least = 23 add in 4 more for backup and you have 27.

we'll have 4 players on special teams (kasay, lloyd, baker, jansen) bringing us up to 31. that leaves 22 for defense.

4 DTs

4 DEs

6 LBs

4 CB

4 S

53 man roster. still leaves us thin on defense. i can't see us needing 4 QBs on the roster. i'd use one of those spots on the DLine.

i'm still of the persuasion that most depth should be used for players who are special team aces.

not at all crazy about bryant. he's not a good choice for a team that is image conscious. i don't trust him to stay healthy or out of trouble, either.

still, pretty workable.

    • I know it was obvious and I know the ref is to blame! But KB is a bum and my original post was about the situation in its entirety. You are right, he did touch him and that's why I said lay down on him to make it obvious. But KB did everything half assed and that is why he had less than a five year career. But the way Cam supported that kid and the way he ended up acting in the end is a dark spot on the franchise. It just doesn't sit well with me and never will. He literally left here talking about ball placement from a league MVP.
    • The Lee Hunter interview with Sheena Quick almost murdered me. That man said he had a 5 years old and a 2 munt year old!! 😂 and all of a sudden I couldn’t breathe!!
    • DLine has to be 50-79 or 90-99. So it’s likely to stay 92 over 62 or 52. Scourton and Phillips can wear a poo ton of numbers as “linebackers”, but the war daddy’s are still pretty limited.
