The last time a Panther QB threw 3 TDs/0 INTs in back-to-back wins was...

....Steve Beuerlein in 1999 in the single-greatest year for a Panther quarterback ever.

Moore will achieve that feat if he throws one more touchdown, no picks, and the Panthers hang on to win.

If this thread turns out to be a jinx, I apologize in advance to the Panther organization and Matt Moore in particular.

This is an important thread. People need to realize how historically well Moore has played lately despite what John Fox said about "Jake Delhomme gives us the best chance to win".

Honestly, I think we should abandon the thought of signing a free-agent quarterback completely and keep Moore as the starter next season. We should still draft a quarterback with whatever first pick we have though.

I would say keep McCown or whoever it is people were high on, draft a QB in the 2nd if we can (but probably not as our first pick in the draft), and pencil Moore in as the starter.

Get Smitty some help, PLEASE, SOMEHOW. This is huge. Moose is looking younger but he's going to break down sometime soon and that'll be it...

As someone who wasn't that high on Moore:

He played a great game. He didn't have a jittery start finally, didn't sail anything and had some NICE velocity on a few throws. It's pretty awesome when the worst pass I can think of was still a TD (underthrow to King).

Really good game by him. Hope we don't dangle him as trade bait at the end of the year.

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
