Will any FAs WRs even come to Carolina?

If there is a real possibility of Jake Starting next season?

With Coach Fox' loyalty to Jake and a real chance for him to start. Do you think any WR would even consider coming here with one of the worst starting QBs heading up the team? I have a feeling that if he is on the roster most WRs would think twice about coming here. I really believe the best thing is for somebody (JR) To talk with him and try and to convince him it's over. Not everybody can be Pharve or Warner at the end. Not every QB can go out on top like Elway. Even Montana and Marino were not the same players their last year.

Jake has done alot for this team and has been a great leader but that time is over and I really hope he doesn't sacrifice the team for his own pride and ego.

Jake is not starting next year barring an injury or completely screwup to/of Moore in the preseason, it's that simple. Moore has done enough in the last two games that he'd have to really bomb next week's game for him to lose his "penciled in" starter spot.

Fox has every right to start Moore and, to people outside of these forum fanbases, looks like a genius for finding such a gem in a backup QB. Remember, TONS of people said Jake was our best bet, NOT just Fox - Cowher even said that at one point I believe. Nobody trusted Moore, because he threw an INT earlier in the season when he came in, and his numbers for his career were terrible (even though they were good in his starts, people rarely look at this numbers).

Moore keeps playing how he does, Jake doesn't beat him out. Does a FA WR come here? That's going to depend more on money than if Jake Delhomme is on the roster. Jake is thought of very highly in the NFL, even if he did awful this season.

Money could get them here.

But who are some WR worth looking at.With the death of Henry and I think Kevin Walter will stay who else will be out there?

Once you take away the guys that wont realistically make FA.you dont have much of a good market for WR

The ones in red I see no way we would be able to get them or if they would even be that good for us.

The ones in Blue are ones I think might be a good fit or the team they are on would be willing to see them go.

The Chargers are in now way gonna let Jackson slip away....but hey....dumber moves have been made.

Also, this little tidbit of Insider Info from ESPN Rumor Central:

Josh Reed will be a free agent this coming offseason and Sunday could be his final game in a Buffalo Bills uniform.

The Bills are headed for a complete rebuild and veterans generally don't get contract extensions during those times, so Reed is likely to hit the open market.

It's too early to talk about who needs Reed, but he played at LSU and is from Louisiana, so perhaps the Saints could be an early favorite for his services.

Here is the link, but if you aren't subscribed to the insider, it won't do you any good to click on it I don't think.

Not that I really care, but it's amazing the me the amount of coverage Favre gets in the media and yet people still don't know how to spell his name...and just a thought, I don't think Richardson will have to convince anyone it's over -just sit his butt on the bench if he doesn't want him playing.

    • Great article on all the Lil Canes attending their debutantes ball. Walt with a great breakdown of all the rookies, as always, and I'm a huge fan of his team coverage, he is truly a treasure, but as a fan of mixed metaphors and superfluous language which some might ignorantly refer to as a "run-on sentence" I never really understood what that mean or where to put the comma after a quote in the middle of a sentence, but holy poo Walt, this is a gem, "While there's a long road left in front of them left to determine whether or not they'll have that same success on the blue line again, the beginning stretch of the journey has been thrown a wrench, and the story on defense has been the emergence of up-and-comers forced into becoming lineup regulars." , bravo, take a bow, sir!
    • How do I activate said Krispy Kreme deal? I'm stoned man you can't be playing with me about this...
    • When the broadcast showed the two benches side by side during the last TV timeout, it was pretty obvious the whole operation is a shitshow. If I was the owner, I would play that clip, with commentary, on the jumbotron at MSG as I fired the coach, GM, President, the whole lot. Bring in your AHL leadership team, wholesale, to finish out the season and start from scratch next year.  Can't fire all the players and fold the season. But, hopefully decapitating the zombie will light a fire under the body and burn out the cancer of the roster. (It makes sense if you don't think about it...) There are obviously issues on the roster. But, you can't have the entire coaching staff completely tuned out with 5 minutes left in a 2 goal game this early in the season. And you can't trust the people that hired them to hire the next staff. If you trust your AHL GM/Scouts, let them run the deadline firesale.   ...     Please don't let the owner read any of this. Because, this poo is hilarous!
