Honestly, I think Beason is the overall MVP. When you have two 1100 yard backs it's hard to pick one.

Honorable Mention: Lost in the Moore/Delhomme fiasco of the past few weeks has been the fact Jonathan Stewart has been playing out of his mind and has helped lead this team to some pretty big wins.

That's a tough question this season. None of the ones listed did anything amazing, nor did we lean on them like most teams do a MVP. Beason, was Beason. Double Trouble's numbers were down, Moore only played in a handful of games, and Smitty's numbers were down. My vote was for Pep just because by teams doubling him, it allowed for the rest of the D-Line to shine. By comparison, when they double Steve...yeah. Nothing much comes from that.

I have to give it to Beason. Moore didn't play a full season, Smitty didn't have a stellar one until Moore came in. Peppers was playing with a broken hand, but didn't play strong until the end of the season. I can't pick between double trouble since neither played a full season.

Beason overall. But I voted for Moore, simply due to the fact that when he was the QB, we started to win, and he changed the end of the season for the whole team.

offensive MVP=Jonathan Stewart. although DeAngelo Williams is the better back, Jonathan Stewarts impressive finish puts him over the hump for me. stewarts impact the final five games helped take pressure off Matt Moore and helped him mature. 4 100+ yard games, including that 206 yard performance against the giants, in the last 5 weeks helped us make NFL history and solidified "Double Trouble" as one of the best RB tandems in NFL history.

Defensive MVP= Hollis Thomas. Sure Beason is what he has always been, a beast, and Julius Peppers made great plays throughout the year but Hollis Thomas is the unsung hero of the defense. With him our run defense improved to the point we weren't giving up almost 200 rushing yards a game. He also helped free up Jon Beason to make the plays we all know he could and Nick Hayden was keeping him from making.

Special Teams-J.J. Jansen. The fact that we never heard his name except when he made a special team tackle proved how effective he was as our long snapper. We were all worried about losing Jason Kyle and trading for a LS who was injured his entire rookie season but he proved to be a valuable addition to our team.

Coach-Ron Meeks. it's true his scheme isn't much differant than what we had a year ago but Meeks runs it much more effectively. It's no secret that our defense wasn't the reason our team gave up so many points earlier in the season. Even still our defense played well once we sured up the DT position. Losing Thomas Davis, Landon johnson, Tank Tyler, and Louis Leonard is something many teams couldn't recover from but he was still able to put in a functioning defense. Our sacks may have been down but out INTS and FF were up. With a offense that doesn't turnover the ball and a healthy unit ready for next year, we could have a top 5 defense next year.

I say Beason was our BEST player. But most Valuable to the team (if that's how you look at it) would have to be Matt Moore, I think.

It is a hard decision to make. But I voted for Matt Moore only because I really do believe he had the biggest impact on how the team played in the last month, more confidence, more attitude. In 5 games he completed turned around what took Jake 11 weeks to utterly destroy.

Taking the whole season into account, it's Jon Beason and it's not even close. Moore gets the nod if you just look at the last 5 weeks.

Whoever gave Peppers the "Defensive MVP" is drinking a bit too much Kool-Aid. There's no question that Beason is the biggest playmaker on the defense. Yes, Pep ramped it up towards the end of the year, but even then he didn't out-play Beason.

I know this is about players, but I can't help but point out the contribution from Paul Boudreau, "O" line coach. No one mentioned on offense has a good year if the "O" line doesn't get it done. Moore was (overall) well protected in his starts against good teams. Many a sizeable hole was opened for our RBs (although you have to marvel at how many yards Stew gained AFTER he was hit at the line, and sometimes behind). But the "O" line was a hodge-podge due to the injuries incurred there. Kudos to Boudreau and the other assistants who groomed and developed that group.

Offensive MVP: Stew, for the aformentioned toughness, which helped set up many of our successful passes.

Defensive MVP: Beason, hands down. He's what you want at MLB.

STs': Ummm, I can't think of one here, given how consistently bad we were in that aspect of the game..

Matt Moore, for one reason.

I am not taking anything away from Jon Beason, Steve Smith, Julius Peppers, Jonathan Stewart, or DeAngelo Williams, but all it took was a new Quarterback to get this team winning again. The move showed that a Quarterback is vital to a teams success, you can have the best Running Back combo in the NFL and still have a bad record [Eliminates J-Stew and D-Will]. You can have one of the finest receivers in the NFL, but unless you have a good Quarterback that can get him the ball the receiever isn't worth a dime [Eliminates Steve Smith]. You can have one of the toughest and meanest Linebacker and one of the most fiercest Defensive End in the game, but without a Quarterback that can at least get them more than two minitues of rest, the opposing Quarterback will make that superlative Defensive End and state of the art Linebacker look like Pop Warner players [Eliminates John Beason and Julius Peppers]. Every single player did an amazing job this season however, Matt Moore salvaged this season.

Matt Moore gets my vote for MVP.
