I say cut him. We can find better back-ups with actual potential. We would be wasting a roster spot on him...he would only be on the team for the sake of sympathy...no one would like it if Jake had to step in the game. We need to cut our losses now.

I want the best QB starting next year. And I don't want someone who lays down and whimpers about how much they played like ass this year. If Delhomme is done then it's on Fox, Cowher, <Insert HC Name Here> to drop him in the depth chart after preseason. Not Delhomme.

Maybe Jake doesn't know that in the NFL its not what you have done in the past that earns you a spot on team.....but its 'what have you done lately'....

Oh, well maybe you didn't know that this is a John Fox team... and well forget it..:(

This. I especially agree with the bolded. Sadly, he'll probably be on the roster because the higher ups in the organization and Fox love him.

Lol @ him thinking his past accomplishments should earn him the right to a shot at the starting spot.

"I brought this team to the superbowl 6 years ago!!!! Everybody get out your 2003 NFC Champs shirts!!! (sarcasm)

Man, he needs to get out of here with that.

Can a guy making big $$$ be a 3rd string QB?

What if they piss us off, start Jake next season and team is better and he's not throwing picks left and right? Then we are stuck with him and wondering what would be with moore still.

If I had JR's checkbook, I would cut Jake faster than a New York minute. We have to pay him either way. Might as well pay him NOT to play.
