Kudos on the "Hall of Shame" reference -- I hadn't heard that one, but the points you make do indeed insinuate that if there ever were such a hall, Jake Delhomme would be voted into it. And props for treating this thread with the gravity it deserves.

I can't stop giggling at this thread. Unbelievable. Why can't people figure out the sarcasm.

This is Heeelarious!!! Jake in the Hall of Fame? More like the Hall of Shame... Once again I dont know what football games you guys watch of the Panthers, but its def. not the same ones I watch. We are talking about a guy who went to a subpar Div. I school. That doesnt mean much cause a lot of guys did and had great careers. He was UNDRAFTED out of college, again which doesnt mean much... but his HOMESTATE of Louisanna didnt even want him (cut by the Saints in '97 & '98 & '99) when they were in the terrible Ditka era.

I can see this guy ranting to his friends/loved ones about all the crazy people on the Huddle who want to enshrine Delhomme!

Relax, Padrino. We are poking fun at the creator of this ridiculous thread.

I was born and raised in Charlotte and have followed the panthers since their first season in 95. I was only 13 at the time but had great pride in my city and our new franchise. It pisses me off to hear people trash our respectable team, and I get even more irate when I hear people make Fake Delhomme seem like our Joe Montanna. Even sadder is the fact that the franchise has embraced him as the face of the team!!! Had he not got picked up by us he would be working at Bojangles instead making their commercials. Ive never played QB on any level, yet with my knowledge of the game I promise they could pay me the league min. and I would put up Jerk Delhomme numbers. Something to think about MR. Richardson...

Dear Mr. Bentley,

Understand that at the end of the day, all that matters is the franchise itself... I have no loyalty to any player on the team- They all know that it is a business, period. On any given day for the right price they could be bought. When you are hurting the franchise as this clown has been allowed to for the past six years, its time to move on. The QB is the most important piece on the field; all Im saying is smiles and chicken dont win championships...

If you believe Jake has hurt this team for 7 years you obviously aren't a fan and have no idea what you are talking about. He sucked this year yes, but in the past 7 years he has led us to more victories than all of our previous quarterbacks combined. Look it up. Try actually knowing something about what you are talking about before coming on a panthers message board and expecting this crap to fly.

      Went back to watching the highlights. With a sober mind haha. Here is what I saw.    freddie needs to make 1 of those but the rest aren’t on him.    Slavin was BBBBAAAD again last night. Not sure what is going on with these game one Slavin gafs.    miller was ok but had his worst game in the playoffs so far.    nikishin was no good. His his awful turnover led to the first goal at the end of the first period that just can’t happen. ghost was beat like a drum multiple times last night, including the go-ahead goal at the end jarivs wont shoot. He is either hurt or he is struggling mentally and I think it could be a combination of both. He passed up a wide open net on the power-play only to pass it to no one and cleared it himself.     Svech played well. He is getting zero help on that line.    aho. Worst game as a pro. I mean that. He won’t shoot it, passes go to no one and turns it over repeatedly.  He did exactly what they did against Montreal game one when Miller had a turnover. Aho left his man to go help and left the golden Knight player wide open in front of Freddie.  If I was Rod, you Tell Aho when that thing hits your stick you fire it  someone needs to sit him down just him in a room and ask what’s going on. He seems soft, timid and has zero fire.   canes could have won that game   There isn’t a gap between these two teams  they are dead even   Carter Hart’s gonna get lit up in this series. We can beat that guy. the consensus last night was our defense played horrible and our stars won’t score.  clean the defense up. Tell the top line to shoot it everything and we’ll win tomorrow night.   Possibly convincingly.
