Just gave the Cats and Jack huge props. He said we are a playoff team and "probably the 5th or 6th best team in the east, right behind ATL". The other broadcaster with him said that we are a dangerous team and could win a first round playoff series.

I love any national attention that we get, because it doesnt happen often.

The Cats are playing some good ball right now. I agree with him. I'm not a fan, but I recognize when some good basketball is being played. Jackson and Flip were good pickups, and Wallace has always been underrated.

The Cats are giving the Carolinas something to be proud of, hopefully the people around here get behind them.

Love ESPN's basketball crew. Any real fan of basketball has a true appreciation for how Jalen Rose and Jamal Mashburn played the game. Really unique and fun players to watch.

Bobcats could have a great year if they keep up what they've been doing. Larry Brown would likely be a lock for Coach of the year, and Gerald Wallace could be most improved player. I've read plenty of articles from other teams sports writers suggest Wallace is a defensive player of the year candidate, but I'd say Dwight Howard has that locked up.

I like Howard and he is a great defender, but when he blocks someone he always feels the need to send that poo in the upper deck. While it is cool to see, it does absolutely nothing to help the team. Smack it to a team mate.

I would get behind them except I can't find any network that carries them... I know they are suppose to be on Fox Sports South but everytime I turn it there are only Hawks games on... Did I miss something?

Usually on SportSouth, and FSN

Non-televised games just PM me. We need to get behind this team ;)

Haha, yea, a tad bit hypocritical on my part.

My story is weird; grew up in NC as a hornets fan, then right around the time they bolted for N.O., I moved to Mississippi, about 45 mins from N.O., so I felt I could keep the Hornets as my team. I moved back here, the Bobcats were here, but its hard to leave something you've been rooting for for so long. I do think I'll eventually make the transition to a Cats fan. I want them to succeed, and I do root for them. Been to a lot of their games, because Im a fan of basketball. I know here in Raleigh, a lot of my friends are now talking about Bobcat basketball.

Long story, I know I know.

lol, I hear ya. Im like that with the Buffalo Bills. My family is from Buffalo but I was born here and I have been a Bills fan since life and when we got the Panthers back in the mid 90's, I was real happy and have always cheered for them but I will never love them like I love the Bills. When we beat the Panthers this year in Charlotte, I love every minute of it but im still a big Panthers fan who always cheers for them in every other game.

I was also a huge Hornets fan and went to tons of games and was at all the home games of the eastern semi final vs Bucks, that was an awesome series but after they left town and traded BD, my favorite player, I stopped caring about them.

Im not from Buffalo by I too was a Bills fan before the Panthers came into town. Thurman Thomas is one of my favorite players of all time. I was also a huge Hornets fan too. My favorite Hornet was Larry Johnson. As a native Charlottean, Ive always considered it a blessing we got another franchise so quickly. Its good to see the past 5 years of hard work the Bobcats have put in finally paying off. We're doing things this season we've never done. Its a beautiful thing!

Yea same here. I've always been a big Hornets fan, but I think my "fandom" intensified once Chris Paul became a Hornet. I'm from Winston-Salem, a native Winstonian. Remember growing up seeing my bro play ball with CP at the local YMCA, and hanging out at his grandaddy's old store in Walkertown. Once he became a Hornet, Winston-Salem became Hornets territory again. I cheer and root for Josh Howard too, he's from Winston. Lol, you can always catch him around in his F-250 riding around town. So yea, in a nutshell, thats why I still root for the Hornets. Lol. Dont see myself remaining with them though. The homestate has a team, plus Im rarely in MS. I like cheering for my squads in person, and best believe when Im at a Bobcats game, Im one of the loudest ones there.

Anyways, back to the basketball talk and Bobcats talk. They're playing some good ball.
