Injury Question

I went Snowboarding this weekend and has some falls but nothing too crazy. Today, I cannot tilt or move my head to the left without excruciating neck pain. Is this bad or could it simply be a pinched nerve? Any ideas or is anyone familiar with neck injuries?

I hurt my shoulder in a fall a long time ago, and had somewhat of the same problem. It is probably a neck muscle, try stretching but go to a doc if it is really painful.

Nope. Its primarily in the left of my neck.

Well thats good, and although I would need to give you an exam to say one way or the other its prob not a pinched nerve or anything serious. You prob have some inflamation in the area and are in need of a good chiropractor.

So i had 4 extra-strength and a couple bowls and its still hurting.

I think I may have to see a chiropractor :banghead:

Assume the normal position for snowboarding with head turned to the left.

Is it difficult to move your head when in that position?

You have your answer, most likely a muscle strain.

You'll likely get NSAIDS and perhaps a muscle relaxant from a doc.

I would say it's unrelated and purely coincidental. What kind of falls did you have. Also, ixnay on the pinched nerve; those things are def. recognizable. Sore neck muscle more than likely. I would go to your doc to make sure though. Hope everything turns our alright.
