To Pep or not to Pep

I haven't heard a whole lot on this front since we beat NO, but my bet is that Pep stays after signing a long term contract, cause he likes the new system and he doesn't have to be the Defensive leader. Pep is not a leader, a beast but not a leader. He's the type that needs great/productive talent around him with relentless effort. He doesn't want to be out done so he'll compete but if there is nothing around him, he lies down and is still the best DE on the team. I think that we've got a good thing going and I hope that he stays, providing that he doesn't cripple us in the process.

They seem to be keeping everything on da hush, but i think that we'll see Pep back next season to help do his part in creating a dominating defense for the Panthers!

Last year, it seemed like you couldn't check a single sports page on the interwebs without finding out what Julius Peppers or Jordan Gross had for breakfast that morning. I always assumed that was an intentional move either on the part of the team or the agents for leverage purposes.

Wonder why the hush-up this year?
